A leading consultancy firm seeks a Operational Support Analyst on a permanent basis to help monitoring and managing changes of a scalable, multi-tenant Kafka Cluster, hosting hundreds of clients generating a high load. The role will be based in Belfast, Ireland.

Therefore it is essential that all applicants have prior Support Analysis experience, as well as hands on experience with Kafka and Linux operating systems.

As this is a Operations Support Analyst position you will be expected to perform the following duties on a day to day basis –

  • You will work with technical clients who produce to/consume from the Kafka Cluster and Vendors who offer enterprise support.

  • You will respond to customer requests regarding outages, performance degradation and project status.

  • You will resolve customer technical issues through diligent research, reproduction and troubleshooting.

  • You will document all technical inquiries and produce/review content for the companies knowledge base.

You will also be liaising with a number of key stakeholders and separate business functions within the organisation, this is where your Operations Support Analysis experience will be utilised.

    I’m currently recruiting for a growing Service provider, they are a well-established business that deliver a reliable service and solutions to thousands of institutes across the UK.

    They are looking for a Systems/DevOps Engineer to be responsible for the running of their platform and infrastructure for a role based in Bradford, West Yorkshire.

    They are looking for someone who will maintain the infrastructure and Virtual machines, ensure proper automation is in place and support various other projects. You will need have good experience working in a Unix/Linux Environment and have gained exposure to automation tools and scripting/programming tools.

    In terms of salary they are looking to pay in between £30,000 – 40,000 per annum.

    Skills required:

    • Solid experience as Systems/DevOps Engineer in a Unix/Linux Environment.
    • Experience working with Virtual Machines
    • Experience with automation tooling (Ansible, Jenkins, Puppet etc.)
