Our client, a large Investment bank in London are seeking an experienced Oracle Developer to join the team based in the London.

The position will revolve around Regulatory Reporting.

Main duties and purpose of the role:

  • Collaborate with Business Analysts helping to define the solution and ensuring technical requirements have been incorporated
  • Develop efficient ETL routines using stored procedures and external tables
  • Aggregate large datasets
  • Work on a regulatory reporting application
  • Build batch processes using schedule software such as Control-M or DBMS_SCHEDULER
  • Work with the wider Technology support teams and ensure best practices are followed

The applying candidate must have the following:

  • Strong Oracle Database Development experience
  • Experience with working on regulatory reporting systems
  • Risk Management Experience
  • A strong understanding of database languages including SQL*Plus & PL/SQL
  • ETL techniques
  • Good communication skills

    Requirements:

    In-depth understanding of and recent programming experience in C#

    Strong foundations in Computer Science: object-oriented design and design patterns, algorithms, data structures etc…

    Strong financial market knowledge

    Experience working with SQL databases

    Aptitude and track record for analytical and practical problem solving

    Exposure to pair programming and test-driven development (TDD)

    Bsc or Msc with a minimum of a 2:1 degree from a top tier university
