McGregor Boyall are currently recruiting for a Payment Scheme Specialist with hands-on experience of process analysis, payment processing workflow and requirement analysis to work for our client, a leading Fintech company in Cheshire. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Payment Systems Specialist with knowledge of payment processing operations to join a well-established Agile team.

Based in Cheshire, this role is easily commutable from Warrington, Macclesfield, Liverpool and surrounding areas.

As our successful Solution SME, you will be responsible for demonstrating strong attention to detail, collaboration with research and ensuring overall copy consistency in a timely manner and you will have knowledge in the following areas;

Payment processing operations oriented

Data mapping/data flow definition analysis technique with use of ‘Use Case’ or ‘User Stories’

Liaison Exposure with Stakeholders in an Agile environment

Relative experience with payment schemes such as CHAPS/BACS/FPS will be beneficial

Good knowledge of Payment Systems such as CHIPs/FED/SEPA or T2 will be advantageous

    They want to completely modernise their trading platform and reduce the latency, currently using Java 8 however they have plans to move to Java 11. It is a front office position sitting on the trading floor so there will be constant interaction with traders.

    Tier 1 Investment Bank – Java Quant Engineer – Fixed Income Strats Group - £130k key responsibilities:

    • Participating fully in code reviews as both an author and a reviewer
    • Demonstrating the ability to transform requirements into high quality, functional deliveries
    • Actively improving team development processes and mentoring junior engineers
    • Leading development of new business functions and non-functional platform improvements

    • Experience within an investment banking background
    • Excellent core Java
    • A deep understanding of low-level programming
    • Educated to bachelor’s degree level or equivalent qualification/relevant work experience.

    Required:

    • Direct experience of working within the Asset Management or buy side business.
    • An excellent knowledge of business analysis processes around best practice.
    • A thorough understanding of software development process (agile or waterfall), testing and release management process and implementation of a framework and standards.
    • Solid knowledge of the investment process at an asset manager.
    • At least 5 years’ experience of working with thinkFolio, Charles River or equivalent OMS in a front office facing role.
    • Investment products knowledge such as; equities, funds, bonds, ETD’s and OTC’s including CDS, FFX, IRS, TRS.
    • Knowledge of MarkitEDM is desirable.
