Payroll Accountant

£250 - £400 per day

The Payroll Accountant will play a key role in managing the posting / reconciliations of payroll journals across various entities / countries within the client group. The role would be perfect for an payroll professional with extensive experience both in day to day payroll work, and in driving process improvement across a large scale organization.

Accountabilities

  • Responsibility and ownership for reconciliation of payroll related accounts across multiple entities monthly
  • Booking of all payroll related journals across multiple entities into the General Ledger (Oracle), such as share gain NI, bonus, cost centre transfers, benefits etc
  • Monitor interface from ADP (Payroll system) into the General Ledger and assist Payroll HR team to correct errors and enable reload into GL
  • Intercompany staff recharges across multiple entities / locations
  • Work with teams within client group to ensure consistent processes are used documented
  • Construct and implement constant process and control improvements and document processes

Person Specification

  • Extensive experience in payroll related roles, ideally focusing on the reconciliation & posting of payroll journals
  • Strong analysis ability to digest large amounts of data
  • Recent exposure to intercompany transactions across multi-jurisdictional locations.
  • Strong team player able to build and manage stakeholder relations from a payroll perspective
  • Prior use of Oracle, HFM, Essbase, ADP systems will be seen as a large positive
  • Understanding of process improvement a drive to improve payroll control framework
  • Ability to standardise and collate different processes into one, more efficient process.
  • Experience of working within the Financial Services preferred

ROLE SUMMARY:
The Accounts Payables team are an integral part of Global Finance Operations, and are responsible for the processing and payment of all payables and expenses.
The Accounts Payable Assistant will be responsible for the processing and administration of invoices, credit notes and expenses in a timely and accurate manner, in conjunction with other team members.
