PMO Manager

My client is currently recruiting for a PMO Manager on initial 12 month contract based in Manchester. The PMO Manager will be responsible for supporting the project governance and control for all remediation projects including initiation and adoption of projects, prioritization, tracking performance and progress of projects, project financial control and adoption and compliance of the companies change standards.

Responsibilities/Activities:

  • Guides prioritization of portfolio plans against strategic priorities
  • Controls project standards, policies and processes through assurance
  • Supports financial processes, reviewing spend against budget and strategy
  • Escalates performance and risk issues impacting on the goals and objectives of the portfolio delivery team
  • Provides on-going analysis of portfolio performance and ways to improve
  • Supports portfolio delivery managers with design and architecture decisions

Experience:

  • Experienced PMO Manager/Lead – 5-10 years’ experience
  • Detailed knowledge of proects types and the project lifecycle
  • Experience in change frameworks
  • Financial services experience desirable

    The exciting start-up company are looking to expand. They are designing cutting edge technologies, which consist of medical imaging. They design software packages which analyse patient’s health using MRI/CT and Ultrasound.

    The company are helping people to diagnose cardiovascular problems such as strokes and possible heart attacks much earlier on through the cutting-edge technology they have designed.

    The Role:

    • Utilising various machine learning techniques to help enhance the product
    • Preferred coding languages are Python and R
    • Working with emerging technologies such as Tensorflow would be desirable
    • Will entail an individual who is willing to research, to enhance an understanding of medical image processing

    Experience:

    • A Masters' level degree or above in a relevant discipline
    • Extensive experience in deep learning and machine learning
    • Commercial experience in modeling and delivering image processing applications for medical purposes
    • Willing to be part of a small team and grow with the company
