Description:
We are looking for a high calibre Portfolio Manager to join us with strong stakeholder management skills, to manage and deliver a portfolio of change within the Technology Directorate and taking a leading role in our Agile Transformation Roadmap and Data Centre Migration Programme.

The Portfolio Manager role is an autonomous position, with responsibility for the leadership of a collection of programmes and projects that contribute to the delivery of the Technology enablement roadmap and delivery effectiveness.
As a member of the Projects & Programmes leadership team, the position is pivotal to the professionalization of the Division and the maturating the capability and services offered across the Bank.

With a proven track record in change delivery, and leading teams; the successful candidate will have experience of managing complex programmes such as Data Centre Migrations and organisational delivery experience such as Agile Transformation. This role is not suited for individuals with no previous delivery and portfolio management experience.

The Portfolio Manager:

  • will form part of the Programme & Projects Department, responsible for joint leadership of the division and the achievement of its objectives; they will report into the Head of the Programme & Projects. They will lead relationship with key contacts within their business area, and develop the portfolio of change working closely with Business and Technology all the way through from the ideation, definition, execution through to benefit realisation.

Accountabilities include:

  • Portfolio Pipeline: Working as demand interface and strategic partner with their business area to listen and interpret needs, and being a key contributor in developing and shaping strategy and priorities for that area, developing expert knowledge and insight into their assigned area.
  • Governance & Reporting: Ensuring that the governance and reporting framework is provides MI on performance, drives effective decision making and accountability.
  • People & Leadership: Communicate and build commitment to a shared vision and sense of purpose. Support business areas to take decisions independently and take the lead in their area of expertise.
  • Planning, Scheduling and Resourcing: Produce portfolio delivery plan and critical path to monitor the portfolio progress. Recognise and track interdependencies across change projects. Recommend how financial and other resources be allocated across change initiatives to optimise the organisations return on investment. Develop strategies to address resource gaps.
  • Risk & Opportunity Management: Identify and monitor portfolio risks (threats & opportunities), planning and implementing responses to them and responding to other issues impacting the portfolio.
  • Stakeholder Management: Map stakeholder interest and influence to determine priorities for engagement and communicate regularly and obtain imput on issues such as a means of communication. Engage in depate to resolve issues and differences between stakeholders and challenge assumptions.
  • Benefits Management: Support the business to develop benefits and establish ownership and responsibility within the business. Review business cases regularly to assess progress towards benefits realisation.
  • Experience of change management within Public Sector, Financial Services or Central Banking

  • Quant Analyst (FX Cash)
    Negotiable

    This is a Quantitative Analyst position within the FX quant development team which is responsible for developing and supporting the mathematical models and analytical tools used by the global FX business to facilitate trading, risk management and product development.

    • Development and enhancements to Quant Libraries and FX Pricing
    • Enhancements of IR/FX curve construction for G10 and EM currencies within curve analytics.
    • Timely support to trading and agile development of new features for E-Pricing and Risk management systems.
    • Optimization and improvements to Pricing and Risk analytics.

    The role focuses on the interfacing of the quant libraries and will require frequent interaction with the London based trading team and regional heads.

    Technical Skills required:

    • Strong C++ experience (Visual Studio 2017, preferrably)
    • Knowledge of the standard pricing models used for pricing, valuation and risk within the investment banking industry, experience working on FX and Rates products is preferable
    • Familiar with trading and risk management systems and processes

  • Financial Crime and Compliance Lead
    £100000 - £130000 per annum


    Compliance Officer and MLRO leading the Financial Crime and Compliance function for a Trade finance house in London with International officer.

    Responsibilities include:

    • Form the compliance function and manage the compliance risks of the Group globally.
    • Develop and maintain compliance policies, procedures and controls.
    • Evaluate compliance risks on transactions and propose solutions.
    • Monitor compliance with compliance policies and procedures.
    • Deliver training and updates on compliance matters to staff globally.
    • Remain abreast of compliance developments, advise Senior Management and with the MD implement the necessary procedures to ensure ongoing compliance.
    • Raise awareness of compliance risks and contribute to developing the culture.
    • Conduct onsite risk assessments and compliance audits at various offices and departments. Based on findings develop, agree and implement corrective action plans.
    • Provide reports and management information to the MD, Audit & Risk Committee and/or Chairman as required

    Experence required:

    • Excellent knowledge of financial crime.
    • Legal or SME background
    • Experience in a financial institution and/or top tier commodities trader.
    • Strong attention to detail.
    • Solutions focussed and dynamic.
    • Trade finance experience will be advantageous.
