Principal/Enterprise Architect – AWS / API / Microservice / DevOps

I am currently looking for a number of Principal/Enterprise Architects for a client based in Sheffield who are going through a huge digital transformation! As such my client is looking for Principal/Enterprise Architects from a variety of backgrounds to be able to support the continued growth and development within this area, whether that be across software, applications, systems, infrastructure, security etc.

Within this role you would be one of the principal protagonists of enabling strategy to be realised across the technology estate, including shaping of strategic investments, driving the adoption of group architecture practices and ensuring that other business functions and services are aligned and integrated across shared service and platforms.

I am looking for candidates who are conversant and comfortable in discussing technology strategies at senior levels of business leadership, able to define and present enterprise architecture in various forums, ensuring the strategy and technology roadmaps are visible both internally and externally to other functions and also map strategic direction to regional needs.

These are vital positions with responsibility of unifying various streams of technology transformation and a focus on improving the end to end customer experience across numerous channels.

Experience:

  • Experience in digital and broader architectural transformation, applying solutions from experience in decomposing monolithic solutions and methods to manage technical legacy
  • Ability to understand, articulate and translate customer journeys into technical design, leveraging API and micro-service architecture techniques
  • Experience, knowledge and understanding of enterprise level software development and API based integration
  • Participate in technical design and oversee all technology related issues of cloud-native product development, building a micro services based architecture, promoting API reuse and managing down technical legacy across the enterprise
  • Experience of enterprise level software for scale delivery working in digital domains where multi deployments of security and processes are key factors
  • Specialist cloud-based technology at scale and cloud solutions which include AWS, Azure, GCS, as well as on-prem cloud and up to date on cloud development trends
  • Strong knowledge on digital related technologies such as everyday banking services, as a platform, dynamic content management, payment services, social media channels etc.
  • Understand channel applications and integration components, common digital and traditional integration technologies
  • Identify key system architecture components, propose and help teams build solutions that unblock deployments

  • Python Cloud Developer - Contract - Investment Bank £650/£700pd
    £650 - £700 per day WFH

    Python Cloud Developer – Contract – Investment Bank – £650/£700pd

    Leading global Investment Bank based in the city require a python developer to work on the build out of a new cloud-based python platform, with SQL database development involved too. Much of the work will be working on newly released platforms, rather than legacy systems and using the latest in Python technology alongside SQL/oracle databases.

    The team offer a dynamic and flexible working environment for python developers from both inside and outside of the financial services industry. The project is still in its early stages and has plenty of work left to be done, over 12 months of work left in the pipeline.

    The successful Python Developer can look to receive between £650 and £700 per day, plus working from home benefits

    Requirements

    • Strong Python development experience
    • Oracle database experience (PL SQL most desirable)
    • Cloud platform experience desirable (AWS, Google, Azure)
    • Financial services experience desirable, but not essential
    • Experience of end to end application delivery

Prior experience within the AI field is not essential, but it is highly beneficial to have a strong interest. Lead Architect – APIs / Micro Services / AWS / Cloud

I am currently looking for a Lead Architect for a client based in Sheffield who are going through a huge digital transformation! As such my client is looking for a Lead Architect to drive their approach to API Design, consumption and management across the business and engage closely with relevant API development practices whilst working alongside digital engineers.

As the Lead Architect you will assist in the definition of requirements and shape the approach and outcomes for the solution design process. You will be responsible for driving and development the API strategy ensuring this meets the required high standards expected across the business.

These are vital positions with responsibility of unifying various streams of technology transformation and a focus on improving the end to end customer experience across numerous channels.

Responsibilities:

  • Influence, manage and contribute to the production of and governing of the companies API service offerings acting as the liaison between the all stakeholders responsible for delivery of Digital solutions.
  • Knowledge of cloud providers, what technologies they provide, and the use cases they serve. Deep knowledge of Google Cloud Platform and Amazon Web Services certification will be a significant advantage.
  • Expert level knowledge of common enterprise integration platforms such as Mulesoft or other comparable ESB technologies
  • Experience DevOps ways of working, CI/CD pipelines and typical enterprise tools used, e.g. Github, AppScan etc.
  • Articulate and manage architectural risks and issues and implement light touch and effective architecture governance based on industry standard agile methods, e.g. SAFE.

Experience:

  • Prior experience in a Lead Architecture role or similar senior engineering / or product design role
