Product Manager - Cash Management

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Product Manager has the responsibility for designing, developing, managing and deploying cash management & electronic banking products and platforms for their fast growing business. Reporting into the Head of Product Management and working closely with relationship management teams he/she will be responsible for the overall product strategy and roadmap for the suit of cash management and electronic banking products adhering to the product governance framework and ensuring that these products remain competitive, commercially viable and fit for purpose.

  • Designing, implementing and developing innovative and creative solutions to help create a best-in-class cash management and electronic/digital banking product capability.
  • Assisting in building and evolving a product strategy and roadmap aligned with the strategic, tactical and operational plans of the banks.
  • Finding and assessing opportunities within the marketplace to grow business in the geographies and client segments where the bank chooses to operate and compete.
  • Being the subject matter expert within the bank, with an ability to display in-depth knowledge and understand the commercial and risk profile of relevant products and services.
  • Working in the product team and with other stakeholders within and outside the organization to ensure that the required enablers are in place.

KEY REQUIREMENTS:

  • Knowledge and experience of developing, deploying and managing cash management and electronic banking products and platforms
  • Knowledge of banking technology, emerging technologies and how they are disrupting existing business models.
  • Product Management experience, with a track record of designing, implementing and managing product programmes within the cash management and electronic banking domains. Previous implementation experience preferred.
  • A minimum of 5-7 years of experience, with at least 3 years of experience in a product development/management role within cash/electronic banking.

    • Researching new regulations and advising the clients on their impact
    • Policy writing
    • Provision of training


    Experience
    We would expect that candidates will have:

    • Demonstrable ability to analyse and interpret complex regulations and provide detailed compliance advice - gained within a regulatory consultancy or in-house compliance advisory role
    • 3 years’ experience within a regulatory consultancy where they have provided compliance advice to clients or 6 years within an in-house compliance advisory function
    • an excellent knowledge of the following core regulations including:
      • the Senior Manager’s regime
      • the Approved Person regime
      • the Alternative Investment Fund Managers Directive (risk management experience would be beneficial not required)
      • MIFID (aspects relating to illiquid portfolios i.e. excluding transaction reporting, MiFIR, etc)
    • a working knowledge of:
      • investment fund structures (unauthorised)
      • a variety of financial services business models across several asset classes
      • the delegated/host AIFM model
      • the Principal / AR model
