Production/ Application Support Analyst- Banking- Contract

£400 - £500 per day

I am currently looking for an experienced Production/ Application Support Analyst to join a top investment bank based in London. The role will be a contract role and will be working on a new project within the business.

Principal duties and responsibilities:

Provide Application Production support for Trade Processing > Tier1) applications (FOCUS, CLIENTCLEARING).

Log and maintain Incident/Request tickets by ensuring data quality that can be used by management for metrics.

Monitor production environments and resolve any application / production issues keeping the team, business and mgt informed.

Write Production scripts to automate data extracts, frequently seen issues using tools like AUTOSYS and document them on wiki.

Analyze and Produce Requirement gathering and Functional specification for Middle office Operational processes.

Experience Required:

Functional/ Technical Application Support experience in the Investment Banking (preferably supporting Fixed Income products such as IRD/CRD derivatives, securities lending/Mortgages) business.

Excellent problem analysis and Investigation skills and a can do attitude.

Good understanding of Full trade lifecycle and Front-to-back Transversal Trade processing workflows.

Prior exposure and familiarity to vendor (Murex, ICE, Markitwire) and clearing workflows is a huge plus.

Experience working on front office application support for top bank.

Computing Skills Required:

Knowledge and expertise in RDBMS (Oracle or/and Sybase).

Strong PL/SQL skills, ability to write complex, advanced joins, SQL cursors, and triggers.

Ideal candidate will have 2-3 years of prior Coding/Testing /Application Support experience.

Infrastructure – Good Understanding/Exposure to (Windows server 2012 /Linux/UNIX).

Ability to read, debug and understand C or C# code.


Contract

£400- £500 per day

12 months with scope to extend

    Our client, a commercial banking organization with a global presence, is seeking a strong Regulatory Reporting professional to join their London branch. The role will take responsibility for a wide range of regulatory returns, with a specific focus on COREP.

    Key Requirements

    • Part qualification (ACCA, ACA preferred) with strong academic background in quantitative disciplines such as Mathematics, Economics, Finance or Engineering
    • Ability to work under pressure, if necessary, under deadline-driven conditions
    • Strong Regulatory reporting background - Experience with COREP is essential
    • Experience within a banking organization or a similar financial institution
    • Exposure to regulatory reporting and awareness of regulatory reporting rules
    • Self-motivation and ability to work with minimal supervision within a team structure
    • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills (especially Ms Excel, PowerPoint)
    • Excellent writing skills

Support of the in house built applications providing authorisation services for bank applications
Provide day-to-day Production support
