I am currently looking for a Production/ Application Support Analyst to join a top investment bank based in Surrey. The role will be a contract role and will be working on a new project within the business.

Key responsibilities:


Support of the in house built applications providing authorisation services for bank applications
Provide day-to-day Production support
Operate as an individual contributor and in a team environment
Provide application support during Operating system patching
Co-ordinate and carry out the application releases across multiple environments
Work with the development team to implement infrastructure solutions for different internal projects
Support the weekend release and maintenance work
Troubleshoot application related issues and work with different support team to resolve issue


Experience required:


General knowledge and understanding of Linux/ Windows operating systems
Experience as an L3 support professional supporting Production issues with ability to provide quick turn-around solution
Familiarity with common UNIX and Windows utilities, diagnostic and monitoring tools
Experience with Jenkins, IIS, Team City and CI/CD environment.
Scripting experience with Python, Shell and/or Java
Good understanding of network services and related technologies (load balancer, Wide IP, FDNS)
Experience working in an ITL methodology based environment
Good understanding of database technology (Oracle/SQL)

    Our client (Financial Services) is seeking a Business Partner for their Group IT & Technology department.

    The role will provide support to business unit heads, and will contribute to a number of key processes (Budgeting, Business Case Analysis, Monthly Finance MI etc.)

    Candidates must have strong Finance Business Partnering / Management Accounting experience, and must have partnered with an IT / Technology department. Banking experience is highly preferable.

    Key Duties

    • Providing analytical support to new business initiatives. Assessing and contributing to business cases for tactical and strategic investments in any Function and monitoring progress and benefits realisation.
    • Providing analytical support for new (or renewed) contracts with major suppliers of any Function
    • Ensuring all budgets and plans for each Function are produced in a timely manner and to quality required for submission to executive committees and the Board of directors.
    • Managing the production of the monthly financial MI (including insightful, actionable commentary) for each Function by working day 3 of each month.
    • Managing a view of financial risks and opportunities within each Function’s cost base on an ongoing basis.
    • Creating analytical insight to help identify opportunities to drive change and improve efficiency (including driving revenues, reducing costs) within each Function
    • Documentation of key Finance processes including identification of key controls



    Essential Experience

    • Minimum 3 years as a Management Accountant or a similar Finance role partnering an IT / Technology team
    • Experience working within the banking industry.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
    • Degree – ideally in quantitative subject eg Mathematics, Accounting or Statistics



    Desirable Experience

    • Excel at Macro level desirable.

Oracle Financials Support Analyst - Investment bank - Contract

I am currently looking for an experienced Oracle Financials Support Analyst to join a top investment bank based in London. The role will be a contract role and will be working on a new project within the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Triage inbound issues and problems raised by Finance on the matters concerning financial accounting in the GL and sub ledgers within the Oracle e-business suite
  • Analyse root cause and provide feedback to end users on status and progress
  • Ensuring due diligence is applied and rigorously tested prior to releasing to users for UAT
  • Assist users in their quality assurance and ensure changes undergo formal UAT before being rolled out production

  • Have some experience working with iExpenses & Project Costing and be familiar with the key concepts and the integration points with Financials
  • Have light development capabilities using the Oracle 12c database using SQL*Plus & PL/SQL
  • Demonstrable experience working with Oracle development tools such as Workflow & XML Publisher, etc.
  • Be familiar working business intelligence tools such as OBIEE, Discoverer, Business Objects, QlikView
