FX eTrading Application Production Engineer


An excellent opportunity has arisen for an FX eTrading Application Production Engineer to be part of a team working with a leading international bank in London.


Details:

  • 6-month contract
  • London/Hybrid (2/3 office days per week)
  • £500-£700 per day

Responsibilities:

  • In charge of Linux global migration for the main FX Spot Market Making platform (Adaptivator). This is a critical strategic migration for FX global business. It involves coordination of multiple teams globally to deliver the infrastructure, OS tuning expertise to optimize the performance, global deployment of NATS, a new messaging technology being introduced within the Bank.
  • Direct involvement in the analysis and build of a new FX eTrading platform in Singapore. This is a flagship project for GM IT and business with tight delivery timelines committed to Singapore government authorities.
  • Day-to-day management of production: monitoring, capacity management, problem resolution activities, change management
  • Responsible for efficient resolution of issues to minimize impact to clients and internal users including liaising with end users, team members, management, vendors, other internal IT teams
  • Assist in the development, design, and implementation of technical support systems
  • Perform activities related to implementation and rollout for upgrades of existing services
  • Work closely with development teams, business analysts, architects, all infrastructure teams to design and setup new systems, improve existing platforms (resilience, high availability, performance, low latency)
  • Coordinate and organise changes with external vendors, markets, ECNs
  • Plan, schedule, implement and document the change activities
  • Improve team documentation, keep it up-to-date and share knowledge with global team

Essential skills:

  • Scripting (Python, Shell, SQL) and development skills for administration, monitoring, and support tools
  • Knowledge of FIX protocol
  • Linux (Redhat)
  • Knowledge of Broadway Technology TOC product
  • Knowledge of Azul Zing product
  • Knowledge of ITRS Geneos monitoring systems
  • Good network and firewall infrastructure understanding
  • Good understanding of multicast messaging in a Tibco RendezVous environment
  • Ability to analyse network captures
  • Project management skills to deliver medium scale projects

    Looking for a BAPM to work on an eRates electronic trading platform which underpins the electronic rates activity including pricing, hedging and execution.

    Candidates should have:

    • Experience as a business analyst / project manager in a financial services organisation
    • Strong knowledge of fixed income instruments, and associated trading workflows: Government Bonds, Interest Swaps, Repos, Futures and options
    • Extensive understanding of electronic trading venues and associated dataflows i.e., market, static and trade data.
    • Experience of working with the ION Trading
    • Excellent communication skills in English, spoken and written.
    • Active interest in design of system architecture

    A well known aviation business is seeking a permanent Business Development Manager to support the delivery of the EMEA B2B revenue income targets through proactive sales approaches.

    The Business Development Manager will:

    • Identify and close: To research, identify, approach and close new sales opportunities within the EMEA region.
    • Collaboration: To work with colleagues internally to support the presales process (pitch presentations etc).
    • New client mobilisation: To support the new client mobilisation process.
    • Tenders / RFPs (request for proposals): To search for tendering / RFP opportunities that could be of interest from a new business client perspective.
    • Conferences / trade events: To drive lead generation through attending appropriate industry conferences, trade shows, events and expositions.

    Ideal candidate:

    • Must have the ability to identify and close new business sales opportunities
    • Skilled in lead generation and relationship building
    • Able to present with confidence at C-suite / Partner level
    • It would be advatageous if they worked in the travel and tourism industry

    Please note this is a hybrid role and will require some office presence.
