An Investment Bank’s Asset & Wealth Management Division are seeking a strong Python technologist to work within their Derivatives space. This area requires a solid core Python developer to work in an extremely agile environment. With this being a core technology space, the team are seeking developers who are passionate around solving business problems through innovation & engineering practices.

About the Python Developer - Asset Management - Greenfield – Derivatives team:

Being one of the firm’s elite technology teams, working for their asset management arm providing greenfield practical resolutions to support exchange and dealings for high cost clients, you will create tailored and advanced software packages for Derivatives.

About the Python Developer - Asset Management - Greenfield – Derivatives teams aim:

My client is embarking on a highly invested multi-year, greenfield project that will significantly increase derivative performance end-to-end. They’ll be transferring the firm’s already high performing platform into this area to lever fast trading capacities, speed to market, and client portfolio requirements.

    My client is a trading firm based in London. They are on the lookout for experienced low latency developers to join them on a mission critical project, building out a brand new trading platform. The main programming language is Rust, however, no previous experience is needed. Any OO language will be considered as long as the candidate has proven low level programming experience. There will be elements of artificial intelligence, this is an extremely exciting opportunity to work with interesting tech on a crucial project. It will be demanding but very rewarding.

  • Business Analyst
    £38000 - £46000 per annum + Additional Benefits + bonus

    Job Purpose:


    To support the business workstream(s) through the change lifecycle from the capture of ideas and identification of issues to implementation and cut over on change initiatives ranging from small incremental change to large step change.

    Job Responsibilities:

    • Collaborate with business workstream members and form a strong and effective team dynamic
    • Capture information from the business workstream about new ideas
    • Work with business workstream members and key stakeholders to articulate thinking further in the form of propositions; identifying users and stakeholders and how they could be affected
    • Articulate the vision, goals and produce high level user stories and map out high level future processes; iteratively
    • Help to define and scope the project to take the proposition forward; identifying and recommending options

    Experience:

    • Demonstrable experience of delivering business change across large and small change initiatives
    • Understanding of Business Analysis and Change Management techniques

    Knowledge:

    • Knowledge of a structured yet agile approach to delivering change
    • Knowledge of the private lines insurance business, the aggregator marketplace and the core business functions of a general insurance provider
    • Knowledge of FCA requirements (including TCF)
