My client are one of the largest global investment banks currently operating in London. They are seeking a contractor to join as a Python Developer within one of their front office teams on an initial 12-month engagement. This team is considered a market leader for it's specific business area, and you will gain good exposure to business users and quants in the role.
The team develop software for the front office and as such good communication skills are a must. The team are 'tech forward' in that they aim to use the best technologies available to them and are often on the cutting edge when compared to their competitors.
This is a contract via PAYE and only candidates who can work in the UK without requiring visa sponsorship are eligible. This role is ideally best suited to mid-level candidates (4-10 years experience) but we are open to Senior Developers also.
Required Skills:
- Strong Python development skills (min 4 years hands-on experience)
- Great interpersonal and communication skills (i.e the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-tech personnel)
Nice to have skills:
- WPF development experience
- AWS
- Prior financial services experience
