A major financial services provider is looking for a Quality Engineer to join their team in Leeds. This role offers a highly competitive compensation package including annual bonus, as well as providing a great work/life balance with only 2/3 days per months required in the office.


Role Description:


The role of the Quality Engineer will be to ensure products meet the highest quality standards through the efficient use of functional testing, test automation, attention to detail, Agile delivery, and a focus on the customer.
The ideal candidate should have a track record in modern Quality Engineering and introduction of 3rd Party toolsutilities with an extensive background with front and backend system testing with a focus on shipping high quality features with great delivery flow.


Requirements:

  • A solid Quality Assurance and Quality Engineering background with a good knowledge of Test Lifecycle, Test Models, Best Practices, Test Benchmarking and Test Tools. This includes a good awareness of Test Data and Environments
  • Be able to project and implement "Automation first" approach in every phase of software delivery process that aids speed to market, better quality and reduces risks.
  • Good proven experience with toolsets including Selenium, Selenium Grid, Cucumber, GitHub, Postman; with a willingness to learn and develop those skills that will be needed for success in the future
  • Experience using NodeJS would be advantageous – but the ability to learn is essential
  • Work in cross-disciplinary feature teams delivering exciting customer driven solutions and high-quality software.
  • Showcase excellent interpersonal and communications skills whilst expertly working across the project lifecycle to ensure software operates as intended.
  • Work in a highly collaborative way to complete assigned work, showcase progress and address problems that are well defined, complex, and often non-routine.
  • Be a quick learner with a growth mindset adapting to new technologies being used within Lloyds and the wider industry whilst bringing those around them on the same journey.
  • Significant problem solving, fixing and analytical skills
