Role:
- Assist in documenting Requirements / Stories based on the Business Requirements, Solution Architecture and Acceptance Criteria
- Create the UX / UI designs for solutions and be able to present to Business Stakeholders / End Users / Architecture Council
- Build, test and document the application, reusing an internally developed JavaScript / React based framework and associated utility classes
- Operate in an Agile/Scrum environment to produce high quality, clean, testable and maintainable code
- Lead / participate in Show and Tell sessions with Business and Technical Stakeholders
- Create training material / user guides for application users
- Act as a Technical Lead and Mentor ensuring knowledge transfer to the wider Front End / Client Side Development Team
Skills Required
- Excellent experience creating responsive front-ends using HTML, CSS, JavaScript (ECMAScript ES9 / 2018) APIs, React, Node.js, Mozilla Web Components and its associated frameworks
- Excellent experience of building web clients on Chrome & Edge including UX and UI design
- Experience of working with Scrum and in a technical Agile environment (e.g. Build tools, Static/Dynamic code analysis, CI / CD pipelines e.g. Jenkins/TeamCity)
- Experience of working with Client Test Automation and associated Testers (using tools such as Selenium, Test Café)
- Experience of applications built using a Postgres SQL databases
- Knowledge of Jira / Confluence is a bonus
- Working in a SAFe based Agile environment is a bonus
- Any working with legacy server side mainframe systems is a bonus

Senior Platform Services Analyst – London – Hybrid
A Global Financial Services provider working at the heart of the world’s financial, energy and commodities markets covering FX, Rates, Credit, Equities and Energy & Commodities are looking for a Senior Platform Services Analyst to join their team in London.
Clients include banks, insurance companies, pension and hedge funds, asset managers, energy producers and refiners, as well as risk and compliance managers and charities.
Responsibilities:
- Working within a shift rota to provide support coverage from 7am – 6pm
- Contribute towards ‘follow the sun’ support model, working closely with global teams in APAC and US to ensure pre-market health checks are performed for each region
- Perform regional start of day health checks to ensure all members are connected to the platform
- Utilising proprietary tools, provide daily application support and troubleshooting for platform members and internal users, escalating to Development teams appropriately
- Daily interaction with all internal stakeholders with regards to support issues
- Efficiently create and track issues within an incident-management system to help identify trends and patterns
- Create and monitor internal reports and usage queries
- Assist with product testing and project work
Skills:
- At least 3 years hands-on support experience within a financial institution (buy-side, sell-side, venue/platform provider)
- Proven experience of MSSQL, Oracle and Sybase database environments, including complex query-writing
- Solid application support experience within a Unix / Linux environment
- Good working knowledge of the FIX protocol
- Proven experience of supporting Windows Server environments
- Experience in troubleshooting network problems: i.e. firewall and routing problems
- Good understanding of international Equity market mechanics and flows
Desirable:
- Exposure to supporting message-based architecture
- Working knowledge of at least one buy-side or sell-side Order Management System
- Good understanding of Fixed Income market mechanics and flows
- Experience with industry-standard monitoring tools (ITRS or similar)
