Regulatory Interpretation and Privacy Analyst

My client is currently recruiting for a Regulatory Interpretation and Privacy Analyst on a permanent basis in Cheshire. The Regulatory Interpretation and Privacy Analyst will be responsible for tracking and responding to new industry regulatory changes which will impact the company. As the Regulatory Interpretation and Privacy Analyst you will provide assurance for regulatory change programmes and escalate regulatory obligation risks as well as provide analyses for regulations and provide a technical overview of compliance requirements and high level views of impact on the company.

Key responsibilities:

  • Document the regulatory requirements and provide technical knowledge to facilitate the completion of impact assessments for new regulations and the shaping of the company’s strategic response to new regulations.
  • Liaise with project managers and business owners to ensure that regulatory projects in progress are developed to deliver the regulatory change requirements and provide full regulatory compliance for the company.
  • Define and document the regulatory requirements and controls frameworks/dashboards to demonstrate the company ongoing compliance to the regulator, auditors and business.
  • Ensure that knowledge and experience is shared through best practice, mentoring and leading.
  • Prepare agreed deliverables in line with standards, to meet agreed quality standards and timelines
  • Contribute to the development of business analysis, change management tools, techniques, standards and methodologies to improve their efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Drive interpretation and analysis across a wide range of business areas on all of the legal / regulatory requirements of the relevant Data Protection Acts (DPA) or equivalent privacy laws, and the forthcoming EU Privacy Regulation (i.e. ePrivacy Act)
  • Communicate regulatory / legal change in a clear, focused, logical and easy to follow manner, whether for business as usual activities or when contributing to special projects.

Experience:

  • Experience in a privacy or data protection function of an international corporation, with experience of privacy law and practice.
  • Clear understanding of the obligations and requirements under the GDPR and control
  • Experience in tracking changes to existing regulations and identifying upcoming regulations that will impact the company.
  • Experience in documentation of regulatory requirements and documentation/design of business controls to meet regulatory requirements.
  • Experience of interfacing with multiple stakeholders across legal, compliance and the business in developing regulatory overviews, rule books, traceability matrices, body of evidence and control dashboards.

    The Role

    You will work with the business on increasing efficiencies and process re-engineering, and also conducting analysis on the development of the company’s bespoke case management system to support business requirements.

    You’ll be working side-by-side with developers and members of the business to capture requirements and help shape the development of the business’ bespoke case management application. This will involve; but is not limited to: creating and managing a suite of specifications for a brand-new application project. You will also be working closely with business teams to review processes and recommend any process improvements.

    The Person

    Key skills:

    • Minimum of 3 years’ experience working as a BA
    • A problem-solving mind set and willing to get stuck in
    • Strong knowledge and experience with UX designs/ wireframes
    • Strong stakeholder engagement and management skills
    • Used to working in a BAU environment

    Desirable:

    • Previous experience with MI data analysis.

    I am currently looking for an Application Support Analyst (Fixed Income) to join a very successful hedge fund based in London. The role will be a contract role and will be working on a new project within the business.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    Resolution of L1/L2 issues

    Detailed analysis of issues that need escalation to L3

    Day to day management of a complex application suite, improving stability and performance over time

    On call L2 support. Able to liaise with remote teams

    Release management working closely with the Dev team
