Responsibilities

  • Complying with the FCA/PRA’s Individual conduct rules, as outlined below


Regulatory Reporting Function

  • Production, analysis and submission of the statistical returns required by the Bank of England and the supervisory returns for the Financial Services authority and European Banking Authority
  • Analysis and communication of policy and market developments in regulatory reporting and update senior management of any upcoming changes
  • Model impact of new deals and products
  • Engage in annual ICAAP and ILAAP
  • Assist in the testing of new releases of STB software used to produce the returns to ensure that changes to the regulations are met, and that bugs or faults in the software are identified and reported
  • Assist in the maintenance and review of procedure documentation for processes performed within the finance function to ensure relevance and efficiency
  • Ensure good working relationship with the regulator


Liquidity Function

  • Providing effective communication to stakeholders of all devlopments within the liquidity arena, including impact assessment to the bank
  • Ensuring the banks liquidity policies reflect current practice and meet all internal and external requirements
  • Responsible for daily liquidity and associated stress reporting
  • Extensive liaison with treasury, risk and business
  • Responsible for obtaining ALCO approval for all liquidity polices
  • Ensure covers are fully trained
  • Engage in quarterly stress test reviews


FSCS (SCV) Function

  • Responsibility for production of SCV reports to FSCS
  • Devlop procedures to ensure we are FSCS compliant
  • Ensure good working relationship with the regulator


Other

  • Contribute to ILAAP, ICAAP and RRP on liquidity and capital stress testing
  • Take responsibility for ad hoc tasks within Asset Liability Management, within the wider regulatory and capital management


Skills required

  • Regulatory experience
  • Advanced Excel Skills
  • Minimum 5 years banking experience in finance function
  • Good knowledge of banking products
  • Commercial awareness
  • Team player
  • Good understanding of various bank systems
