Main duties/responsibilities

  • You will work with the Head of IT to establish priorities, allocate appropriate resources to ensure that projects within the portfolio are completed within committed time/budget.
  • Technical design authority working in conjunction with the Solutions Architect on solution design. Determine delivery plans, work breakdown structures, provide estimates, and allocate technical resources
  • Application analysis/ design, development and implementation planning phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) process adhered to within International Markets IT
  • Management of geographically distributed digital application teams, currently consisting of full stack Java developers, Front-end developers and proprietary application support teams. Prioritising the work that needs to be done against the capacity and capabilities of the team
  • Develop and implement application development policies, standards, procedures and governance controls.

Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, 7+ years hands-on digital development experience with at least 3 yrs. acting as a senior software development or an equivalent role.
