Business Analyst

Mcgregor Boyall are actively looking for a Business Analyst to join their prestigious client in Aberdeen on a contract basis.

The successful individual will have comprehensive knowledge of data protection law, specifically the upcoming EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), preferably supported by a GDPR qualification, as well as significant data management and data protection experience. They will be responsible for ensuring that systems and controls are in place to enable the company to comply with its obligations under data protection legislation. They will be responsible for ensuring that the integration programme promotes privacy and data protection compliance across the design and implementation of new processes, procedures and IT systems, in order to satisfy GDPR rules.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Analyse, monitor and oversee the systems and controls in place to ensure compliance with data protection laws, specially GDPR
  • Co-ordinate organisation wide risk assessments on data protection compliance
  • Ensure that the integration programme promotes privacy and data protection compliance
  • Review and monitor the designs of IT Systems implementations and data migrations and provide advice about the assessments where requested
  • Review and monitor the business processes, policies and procedures associated with storing, accessing and protecting personal data, from a GDPR Perspective
  • Co-ordinate a gap analysis of new business processes, policies and procedures and IT Systems, and produce a summary report with recommendations for additional controls
  • Provide guidance on design of data storage, data access processes and data policies
  • Co-ordinate compliance with GDPR and provide guidance on compliance standards and translate them into business and data management requirements
  • Co-ordinate the development and management of an adequate data protection strategy
  • Ensure the correct categorization of data fields
  • Provide appropriate guidance of business change activities related to data protection and access
  • Raise appropriate risk and issues to the project manager and business stakeholders as necessary

    Information Security Officer required to provide security expertise and guidance to key Security Programme which includes a number of projects as part of the organisations cyber strategy.

    The role will include input into the requirements and designs working with internal security teams and external parties to put in place agreed solutions to meet the aims of the programme. This is a dynamic role combining security solution design, implementation, assurance and review activities with standards, policy and procedure development.

    The Information Security Officer will come with strong analytical, information security and application security skills ,along with a technical understanding of the practical application of information security controls within financial services firms. GDPR Compliance Delivery Manager

Our client, a national savings bank, is looking for a GDPR Compliance Delivery Manager to join their organisation. It is a 6-month fixed term contract based in London. They are able to offer £52,000 per annum pro rata for the 6 months.

The role is responsible for overseeing and managing all data controller responsibilities surrounding GDPR, ensuring all compliance and mitigating risk by ensuring they are uncovered by the risk policy owners. You will be working closely with the organisation B2B Compliance Manager to ensure any GDPR work is compliant with rules set by the organisation and other laws.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborating and coordination with the DPO and B2B Compliance Manager to create and maintain a new data protection strategy and legal framework This will be achieved by working with Clients to determine arrangements to ensure all procedures and provisions meet compliance standards.
  • Provide a monthly report to the DPO outlining any issues regarding GDPR compliance across the business
  • Act as business Manager whilst implementing the joint data controller requirements that fall within GDPR
  • Oversee documentation surrounding GDPR including the drafting of any technical clauses such as Data Sharing Agreements. Maintain and amend manuals and staff training to ensure it is up to date with data protection laws.

Experience and Qualifications

  • Data Protection qualified and proven extensive working experience within data protection
  • Extensive knowledge of legal and regulatory matters
  • Experience with analysis of documentation and data including, creating policies and procedures by reviewing analysing and translating analysing legislation, and industry consultation papers.
  • Strong privacy law knowledge and implementation of data protection/information rights within a financial services organisation.
  • A good understanding of joint data controller responsibilities following strict data protections rules

  • Any financial services and ICA advanced qualifications are desired but not necessary
