McGregor Boyall has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Investment Manger to join an ever-growing financial services organization within who are passionate about adopting cutting edge-technologies across their global business and redefining the future of finance.

The Responsible Investment Manager will be based in the main Investment Office, which delivers and reviews investment strategy, oversees asset management performance and all operations for all Group Investment funds.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering analysis and oversight and lead the integration of Responsible Investment frameworks and activities on behalf of all customers. The Responsible Investment Manager will lead specialist expertise and deliver due diligence across internal and external asset managers.

What you will be doing:

  • Challenge and make improvements and efficiencies to processes, procedures and documentation.
  • Develop, maintain and present high-quality reports and lead oversight and reporting of company wide integrations.
  • Pro-actively work and liaise with all relevant stakeholders and coordinate Responsible Investment leadership activities throughout the organization.
  • Support senior leaders and lead the maintenance and ensure key business risks are fully understood, controlled and mitigated.
  • Develop robust and lasting relationships throughout internal and external teams and ensure company values are actively demonstrated.


What we are looking for:

  • Educated to a degree level or IMC qualification or similar equivalent
  • Strong Responsible Investment experience with understanding of current and developing Responsible Investment trends.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and capable of building strong lasting relationships.
  • Able to manage self and coach others to proactively to achieve good outcomes.

    Working in a HR Generalist capacity you will be instrumental in supporting the HRD with both operational HR and key projects.

    You will need to demonstrate you are commercially focussed and hands on with all aspects of HR including, ER, Policy, HRIS, data analytics and administration.

Accounting Policy Manager

Up to £70000 per annum

What you'll do
Operating as a member of the Accounting Policy team, you'll provide technical expertise and advice to internal customers on accounting best practice and company law changes. You'll advise Financial Control & Reporting on consolidating accounting and on external reporting matters, and will support in implementing new financial reporting requirements. You'll also evaluate new accounting and company law requirements in the UK and internationally, and brief the Finance community.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Technically reviewing external statutory reporting
  • Contributing to setting company accounting and maintaining the bank's accounting manual
  • Advising on the financial reporting and fair value aspects of complex transactions
  • Provides support and guidance to Finance, Treasury and Risk on financial reporting issues and queries
  • Supporting the implementation of new IFRS financial reporting requirements
  • Building and developing relationships within Policy & Control, Financial Control & Reporting, Regulatory Control, Taxation and the business finance functions
  • Identifying and reviewing best practice financial reporting in the financial services industry for possible implementation


The skills you'll need

  • Accounting qualification, and substantial post-qualification experience in an accounting advisory role in an international financial services company, or a big-four accounting firm.
  • A good understanding of best practice in developing and applying accounting policy and practice, with knowledge and previous experience of group consolidation an advantage.


You'll also bring:

  • Expert knowledge of IFRS
  • A self starting approach, with the ability to work independently
  • The ability to identify, build and enhance key relationships, credibly influencing and challenging where needed
  • Strong communication skills, able to articulate issues clearly and succinctly
