Mcgregor Boyall are actively looking for an experienced Credit Controller to join their prestigious client in Aberdeen on a fixed term contract basis.

The overall purpose of the job is to ensure the effective operation of the Credit Control function on a day to day basis. Assuming full responsibility for credit control for the company and other business entities, management of the debtor's ledger and provide general assistance.

Key Responsibilities

Services

  • To ensure the correct and efficient operation and integrity of all financial systems within the scope of responsibility.
  • To perform the credit control activities of the company and other business entities ensuring that invoices are settled according to agreed credit terms.
  • To liaise between the client and the relevant departments within the company and other business entities to ensure that all queries and disputes are dealt with effectively and on time.
  • Supporting the Cash application function to allocate receipts to customer accounts.
  • Keep management and account managers constantly informed of collection status and actions required.
  • To conduct credit checks on prospective clients
  • To ensure clients operate within their credit limits

Liaison

  • To establish responsive liaison relations both within the company and other business entities.
  • To positively promote all business entities within the group.
  • To attend internal meetings where appropriate and as requested.
  • To be accountable for your workload.

Other Duties

  • To keep accurate records including statistical information where appropriate.
  • To work within and promote all policies and procedures.
  • To carry out any other reasonable duties as requested by the Credit Control Manager.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Evidence of being able to work under pressure to meet weekly and monthly targets
  • Excellent MS Office skills with focus on Excel and ability to pick up new in-house systems
  • Experience of working on Sage
  • Must possess strong evidence of prioritising skills and work in a fast-moving environment of cash collection.
