McGregor Boyall are currently looking to hire Trainee Recruitment Consultants to join the Edinburgh Business. If successful, you will receive full 360 training which will include headhunting, account management, business development, coupled with 1 on 1 sessions with sector specialists. This is a great opportunity for individuals who are looking to progress through the ranks at speed, as you will be given the opportunity to progress to Consultant within 6 to 9 months.

The role:

Recruitment is a two way sales role, where you will be building relationships with both candidates and clients alike. You will initially be liaising with candidates and clients in order to build your network within the industry. You will be advertising externally on behalf of your clients in order to attract new candidates. There will be set KPI’s you will be expected to meet, which you will receive full support for.

  • Employee Relations Advisor
    £500 - £550 per day

    I am seeking an Employee Relations Advisor to cover a 6 month interim contract to support the HR Partners and key business stakeholders on all aspects of employee relations, policy and legislation within an investment management organisation.

    Core responsibilities include:

    • Ensuring the effective manager of ER-related risks (legal, financial and reputations for employee relations including disciplinary, grievances, litigation case management, restructures/reorganisations and performance management
    • Act as the internal escalation and expert on all aspects of ER and build effective relationships with key internal stakeholders

    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Demonstrable stakeholder engagement with excellent consultative skills
    • Strong analytical mindset and skills to take meaningful information and interpret to support the business
    • Ability to deal with multiple deadlines and prioritise effectively and accurately in a fast-paced environment
    • High level credibility and confidentiality, with the sensitivity and diplomacy to deal effectively with challenging situations.

  • Java Low Latency Trading Engineer Buy Side - up to £140k+bonus
    £80000 - £140000 per annum + bonus

    Java Low Latency Trading Engineer – Buy Side – up to £140k + bonus

    A leading and expanding London based buy side trading organisation are looking to add a strong Java Low Latency engineer to their industry leading workforce. Working directly for the desk you will be responsible for both the development of greenfield components and enhancement of existing multi-threaded low latency trading applications.

    You will have the opportunity to learn about a variety of products, across multiple asset classes in partnership with industry leading Traders and Quants. They have a diverse range of talent within the team, coming from buy side, sell side and non-financial services!

    The successful Java Engineer can expect to receive between £80k and £140k plus the potential of a very rewarding bonus and benefits package.

  • Java FX Algo Trading Developer - Fintech - Remote - up to £140k
    £70000 - £140000 per annum + benefits

    Java FX Algo Trading Developer – Fintech – Remote – up to £140k

    A successful and expanding multi-national fintech require a strong Java engineer to help build out their low latency FX Algo Trading application suite. The team focus on providing the platform for their ever-growing London client base, which spans from small funds through to tier one Investment Banks, meaning that this role brings exposure to a wide range of sectors, with which brings a diverse range of challenges.

    The Java Developer will be expected to take ownership of the full software development lifecycle of the FX Algo Trading product, applying a creative mindset in the process and driving to use cutting edge technology and ideas.

    The successful Java Developer can receive between £70k and £140k base salary, plus a healthy benefits package.

    A variety of experience levels are being considered

    Requirements overview:

    • Strong core java development skills
    • Multi-threaded, latency sensitive systems development experience
    • Ideally an understanding/experience building trading systems for the FX or Fixed Income business (other areas considered)
