Security Operations Lead – SOC – SIEM – COBIT – TOGAF – Prince 2

Our well known client is looking for an IT Security Analyst to lead and manage the security team in all areas of security.

Responsibilities:

  • Management of a team of analysts within the SOC team
  • Develop and enhance the SOC capability
  • Take a lead role when dealing with incidents
  • Take responsibility as a Lead Analyst to pick up more difficult incidents or changes
  • Provide coaching and mentoring for security analysts
  • Work with external suppliers and internal stakeholders to develop the service monitoring and reporting
  • Keep up-to-date with current threats and emerging threats, to provide a fast response to the changing security climate
  • Understand and articulate emerging threats and incidents to different audiences within the client, including technical, operations management, senior management and executives.
  • Use some of the latest technology to detect threats to the information systems of our client networks from external and internal threats
  • Analyse and advise on security alerts, assisting with investigations due to escalated incidents from security information & event management systems (SIEM)

Requirements:

  • Previous team management experience, ideally within a SOC environment
  • Lateral thinking combined with excellent problem solving capability
  • Experienced in the use and application of ITIL for IT Service Management, ITIL Foundation beneficial
  • Experience in security technologies and experience with SIEM-based analysis and development, for example LogRythmn, ArcSight, Splunk
  • Information Security within frameworks, such as COBIT
  • Information Security within architecture, such as TOGAF
  • IT project lifecycle, ideally Prince 2
  • Experience of working in environments subject to compliance requirements such as ISO27000 Series would be beneficial
  • Candidates welcome with relevant qualification such as CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional) and CISM (Certified Information Security Manager), ECSA (EC-Council Security Analyst)

  • Solution Architect (GCP)
    £500 - £650 per day

    An opportunity has arisen for a Solution Architect (GCP) to work for a large Energy client based in London. This is an initial contract position.

    The role:

    GCP (Google Cloud Platform) API Strategy and Management, Cloud Security around API Strategy, QA Wrap Around the first two. Offshore Scrum: to support onsite roles Responsible for the team management

    Key Requirements

    • Hands-on experience deploying data analytics solutions in GCP using BigQuery/Datastore/DataProc/Cloud storage.
    • Knowledge of data warehousing concepts, including data warehouse technical architectures, infrastructure components, ETL/ ELT and reporting/analytic tools and environments (such as Apache Beam, Hadoop, Spark, Pig, Hive, etc).
    • Strong understanding of data analytics tools, packages, etc.
    • Knowledge of RESTful API design and asynchronous and concurrent systems.
    • Create and manage Identity and Access Management standards and policies
    • Experience with Elastic stack/ELK
    • Python Scripting and .NET knowledge preferred
    • Familiarity with Cloud Services. Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and the GCP Data Services experience is a major plus
    • GCP certified Architect Preferred.
    • It would be great to have any experience with API management platforms like Apigee or Azure API Management to help the customer to choose the proper solution for their needs.
