JOE ROBINSON

This role is absolutely key for the business, and as such comes with a high level of expectation and demand.

The work will involve end to end accounting, leading the Monthly Close and conducting basic variance analysis and reporting, as well as management of the balance sheet reconciliations. You'll also look after Group Inter-company matrix and reconciliations.

You will conduct regular Cash Flow reporting, as well as the preparation and entry of various accounting journal entries, accruals, prepayments, ESOP, etc.

Cost Accounting is a key area for this position, so the successful candidate will need to demonstrate their expertise in this field, and you will be responsible for updating the Costing model as well as posting all relevant journal entries.

You will lead the preparation of the quarterly VAT return, as well as its filing & submission, so you'll need to demonstrate experience of local VAT regulations (KSA and wider GCC). You'll also be responsible for the annual Zakat return preparation, filing & submission.

More broadly, you will support the Financial Controller with the preparation of the statutory accounts and annual audit, and you'll liaise with external auditors to ensure all queries are resolved swiftly.

The business is extremely Capex heavy, so you will have to manage and maintain an accurate fixed asset register. You'll also work closely with Financial Controller and the Expansion team to ensure all construction capex spend is being accurately tracked from a budgetary and cash flow perspective

As the face of finance in KSA, you'll partner with various finance and non-finance stakeholders across the business, acting as a key point of contact, so strong communication skills and a willingness to work across functions are essential.

The organisation does have processes and policies in place, but you'll be encouraged to constantly assess these and suggest improvements or efficiencies, with a continuous improvement and best practise mindset.

There is an ongoing ERP implementation underway, and you will have the opportunity to assist the Financial Controller in the second and third phases of that implementation.

There is a centralised Treasury team, but as the person on the ground, you will be responsible for supporting that process, preparing payments, posting cash, bank reconciliation and any ad hoc bank reporting as required.

Finally, although the Payroll is processed by the HR department, you will be involved in the monthly payroll review process.
