Our client, a sovereign wealth fund, would like to add a blue-chip lawyer to the group legal team. You will lead the legal aspects for the business both onshore and offshore, with regards to investments and M&A projects. This will involve advising on compliance, internal policies and procedures, post-transaction suport, outside counsel, standard forms, training amongst other areas.

Requirements:

4-5 years PQE from a leading international law firm but CURRENTLY in-house with a top tier bank or investment fund based in the UK, US or Singapore.

Extensive PE/VC and M&A transactional experience.

Understanding of various international regulatory regimes.

    The exciting start-up company are looking to expand. They are designing cutting edge technologies, which consist of medical imaging. They design software packages which analyse patient’s health using MRI/CT and Ultrasound.

    The company are helping people to diagnose cardiovascular problems such as strokes and possible heart attacks much earlier on through the cutting-edge technology they have designed.

    The Role:

    • Utilising various machine learning techniques to help enhance the product
    • Preferred coding languages are Python and R
    • Working with emerging technologies such as Tensorflow would be desirable
    • Will entail an individual who is willing to research, to enhance an understanding of medical image processing

    Experience:

    • A Masters' level degree or above in a relevant discipline
    • Extensive experience in deep learning and machine learning
    • Commercial experience in modeling and delivering image processing applications for medical purposes
    • Willing to be part of a small team and grow with the company

Senior Lawyer with experience drafting Legislation

We are looking for an individual with a strong Public Law background in a regulator, central bank or other entity. You must currently be working, or recently have worked, in a regulator, central bank or other public entity from the US, UK, Europe, Singapore, Hong Kong, Canada, Australia or similar jurisdiction. The individual must have legislative drafting experience as you will be required to:

  • Draft legislation (laws, rules, waivers / modifications) and guidance.
  • Provide timely and accurate legal advice and support to the Policy and Strategy Department and other departments.
  • Prepare or contribute to high standard papers and materials to the Board and its committees and participate in meetings of the legislative committee.
  • Analyse and advise on legislation.
  • Oversee and enhance the quality and consistency of legislation and legal advice, including settling drafting and advice of junior lawyers.
  • Provide legal advice to internal administrative decision-makers.
  • Identify and undertake improvement opportunities relating to the legislative practice, using best practices and technology.
  • Alert the Director to potential delays and significant issues.
  • Brief external legal counsel where appropriate.
  • Conduct internal training on issues relevant to the legislative practice.
  • Maintain relevant public law expertise.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Bachelor or equivalent degree.
  • Barrister/Solicitor current practising certificate or equivalent right to practice in law, preferably from a common law jurisdiction
  • Preferably 10 year PQE.
  • You must currently be working, or recently have worked, in a regulator, central bank or other public entity from the US, UK, Europe, Singapore, Canada, Hong Kong, Australia or similar jurisdiction.
  • Legal drafting experience is necessary.
