An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Network Engineer with Team Lead experience to join a global financial services company.
The scope of the role has four main elements:
- Oversee day-to-day operations of the Europe network
- Design, plan and implement network projects and new functionality
- Drive global projects such as automation.
- Work with other teams such as Systems Engineering and DevOps to delivery bigger multiple team projects
Skills and experience required:
- CCIE or equivalent level of knowledge of networking with specific emphasis on routing and switching
- Complex network design and implementation focusing on predictability, resilience and security
- Strong understanding of the TCP/IP protocols and network troubleshooting
- Strong familiarity with the finance environment, low latency, market data and order entry protocols
- In-depth knowledge of BGP
- L2 and L3 multicast networks, PIM, IGMP, design, operations and troubleshooting
- Network automation and scripting (ideally Python)
- Team lead experience essential

The responsibilities
- Demonstrate a broad set of technical skills including Azure Infrastructure and administration (ARM templates).

The Opportunity
- This role is responsible for delivering all aspects of financial advice across functions to ensure the provision of comprehensive support to all levels of management and Members. - Accountable for all financial aspects of medium term business planning, advising Directors, Politicians and Stakeholders on strategic financial performance management, pricing and investment analysis
- Lead on the provision of insightful long term predictive analytics, optimising financial modelling and commercial acumen to support business development and income improvements across the organisation.
- Drive the delivery of complex cross organisation projects, influencing strategies to ensure commercial considerations drive transparent and robust, evidence-based decision making. This includes the provision of detailed analysis and interpretation of financial and performance data.

The Experience You Will Bring

- Evidence of direct influence in improving financial systems and processes.
