Senior Network Engineer - CCIE - BGP - Routing/Switching - Design/Implementation - Automation - Financial Services

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Network Engineer to join a global financial services client based in the City. The role sits within Engineering team and will focus on network projects, new functionality as well as an element of support. Deploying changes outside of normal working hours in evenings and weekend is also a part of the role (from home).

Skills and experience required:

  • CCIE or equivalent
  • Strong Routing and Switching
  • Complex network design and implementation focusing on predictability, resilience and security
  • TCP/IP protocols and network troubleshooting
  • In-depth knowledge of BGP
  • L2 and L3 multicast networks, PIM, IGMP, design, operations and troubleshooting
  • WAN Routing and traffic engineering
  • NetGen Firewalls, L3 to L7 experience, troubleshooting and implementing
  • Network automation (ideally python)
  • Strong familiarity with operating systems, Linux and Windows
  • Desirable - Low-latency networks

    • CIPD membership or equivalent qualification
    • Demonstrable commercial and pragmatic approach to human capital solutions
