My highly respected Financial Services client in Edinburgh city centre urgently requires a Senior Procurement Specialist (IT) to join them on an initial 6 month contract basis.

The successful candidate will have experience of the following:

Skills

  • Experience of Global/ Regional/ Local procurement including spend and contract analysis, supplier rationalisation and consolidation, demand management, and TSA Exit.
  • High level of experience of supporting complex global change projects and their senior sponsors.
  • Strong ability to facilitate groups, mobilise people and agree plans that communicate and provide direction for agreed deliverables.
  • Experienced in managing major projects with a strong track record of achieving the project goals, ideally within an Investment Management company environment.
  • Highly agile and adaptable to change, with the ability to deliver innovative and effective solutions at pace.
  • Strong planning and organising to manage multiple priorities and ensure project protocols are respected at all times. Takes accountability for actions, ensures resources allocated accordingly and overcomes obstacles to ensure goals are achieved
  • Promotes high standards and demonstrates objectivity and integrity in decision making whilst encouraging challenge from others
  • High attention to detail which informs a challenge of data, information and decisions
  • Leadership by listening to others; supports and empowers decision making and encourages ongoing growth and engagement of the team
  • Communication is professional, articulate and objective at all times and passionately upholds the integrity of the business
  • Relationship building by naturally winning respect of others through leadership, professionalism and subject matter expertise
  • Strong analytical thinker identifying trends in data, spots anomalies and asks questions to support conclusions



Experience/Qualifications

  • Membership of UK and Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply preferable
  • Procurement expertise across multiple categories and a high level negotiation proficiency
  • Comprehensive understanding of complex legal agreements
  • Demonstrates a positive and enthusiastic approach to work
  • Proven track record of engaging with and influencing stakeholders at all levels within an organisation
  • Demonstrates gravitas and commercial acumen when dealing with stakeholders – internal and external

    Regulatory Reporting Accountant

    Our client, a commercial banking organization with a global presence, is seeking a strong Regulatory Reporting professional to join their London branch. The role will take responsibility for a wide range of regulatory returns, with a specific focus on COREP.

    A part qualfication in accounting good knowledge of COREP is required, as well as prior exposure to Financial Services or Banking.

    Key Duties

    • Assist with the implementation/enhancement of regulatory reporting software.
    • Work with the regulatory reporting manager to review processes relating to Regulatory Reporting to identify improvements and thus enhance control / system capabilities
    • Reconcile balance sheet on periodic basis
    • Keep up to date developments and changes in regulatory issues
    • Analyse and help with the implement new legislation
    • Cover for other team members when required
    • Other ad hoc assignments



    Key Requirements

    • Part qualification (ACCA, ACA preferred) with strong academic background in quantitative disciplines such as Mathematics, Economics, Finance or Engineering
    • Ability to work under pressure, if necessary, under deadline-driven conditions
    • Strong Regulatory reporting background - Experience with COREP is essential
    • Experience within a banking organization or a similar financial institution
    • Exposure to regulatory reporting and awareness of regulatory reporting rules
    • Self-motivation and ability to work with minimal supervision within a team structure
    • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills (especially Ms Excel, PowerPoint)
    • Excellent writing skills
    • Good listening and communication skills
    • Through working style and excellent attention to detail
    • Fast learner with good problem-solving skills
    • Ability to challenge and influence
    • Strong interpersonal skills
    • Excellent analytical and reporting skills

  • PMO/PM
    £50000 - £60000 per annum

    My leading global bank are looking to bring on an experienced PM/PMO to join a centralised operations.

    Candidates must have:

    Experience

    • PMO/PM skills and experience, including examples of the delivery of on time and on budget –a driver with bias towards delivery at pace and controlling project outcomes
    • Experience of working in a procurement function
    • Experience of working in a banking environment
    • Multi-year experience of working in a change environment as PMO/PM
