Senior QA Automation Lead

McGregor Boyall are currently recruiting for a Senior QA Automation Lead with an enterprise level client, based in London. In this role, the successful candidate will be working to enhance a low-latency Foreign Exchange (FX) algorithmic trading platform.
Responsibilities:

  • Developing exceptional, robust tests that will play a central role in the continuous integration pipeline.
  • Working closely with the development teams to contribute and take responsibility of the test design and execution in various phases of the project lifecycle.
  • Contributing to the wider QA team, bringing forward new ideas and taking accountability for improvements to the test framework and processes
  • Working with automated test-driven development designs in an agile development environment
  • Working closely with other testers to provide support, mentoring and guidance to help design and build maintainable automated test suites.
  • Communicating with senior stakeholders to understand their requirements and manage their expectations of delivery.
  • Evaluating a situation or problem, understanding the risks, costs and benefits, exercising judgment on a good path forward and expressing this to colleagues and stakeholders

Required Experience:

  • Extensive automation testing experience in a complex domain
  • Excellent development skills including Java and, ideally, knowledge of KDB.
  • Good knowledge of standard development and build tools such as GIT, TeamCity etc
  • Excellent analytical skills

    • Familiarity and knowledge of the regulatory environment surrounding Model Risk Management
