Senior Release Analyst
Edinburgh - Permanent Role
The main purpose of the role is to contribute to the end to end release activities needed to support software development lifecycles. They will work with development teams to satisfy the release framework and best practice to ensure all application change is prepared and delivered in a controlled and efficient manner into production. This role will offer the opportunity to join a newly formed team and develop as a new body.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to all aspects of the end to end release process.
  • Support release planning activity at portfolio level including scope, method and timing of releases.
  • Escalate identified Risk Events and contribute to their investigation.
  • Ensure ITIL Release and Configuration Management principles and processes are followed to ensure that service levels, targets, productivity and quality measures are achieved.
  • Form strong working relationships with internal customers and stakeholders


Skills, Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Practical understanding of full software development lifecycle.
  • Awareness of different delivery methodologies and their impact on release.
  • Practical experience managing software releases into multiple environments
  • Awareness of ITIL Service Delivery best practice.

    Our client, a Tier 1 investment banking group is seeking an experienced Basel III Developer to join the team based in the London.

    Inside IR35 – PAYE ONLY

    Required experience:

    • The Finance Change Delivery Reporting & Consolidation Developer leads change, analysis, design, configuration and development of solutions, working closely with the Bank’s Cloud Services Providers (e.g. Google, Microsoft).
    • The key objective of this role is to develop the solutions and capability of Finance Cloud Framework to support the Basel 3 Reforms, Financial Actuals and Finance on the Cloud Programmes.

    Technical skills:

    • Cloud technology and services, most importantly Google Cloud and Microsoft Azure
    • Experience in multiple Programming languages including SQL, Python, C , Java, JavaScript and have experience in data modelling on Big Data / Cloud platforms (BigQuery)
    • Significant experience in the delivery of Change within the Finance/ Technology business domain
