Software Engineer – C# or Python
McGregor Boyall Associates is seeking highly skilled Software Engineers to join a leading investment management technology team, comprised of exceptional technologists, research, and quantitative professionals.
You will collaborate with all areas of the business, including front office, quantitative analytics, risk management, and research and play a vital role in creating re-usable, high-performing solutions that solve complex problems, as well as develop advanced valuation, risk, and pricing systems.
Ideally, you’ll possess excellent programming skills, including an in-depth understanding of C# .NET and/or Python, as well as experience working with SQL databases. The ability to manage all aspects of development projects, from establishing business requirements and design development to testing and release management, is essential.
Skills:
- Fluency writing code utilising C# or Python.
- Experience working for another buy side firm or front office desk-aligned role
- Knowledge of Risk, Market Data, PnL, Pricing
- A strong education from the STEM field is preferred
- Knowledge of Computer Science fundamentals such as Design Patterns, Algorithms, Data Structures
- Intellectual curiosity and drive to anticipate and solve challenging technological problems
