Leading UK Bank is seeking a Solution Architect to join their Technology Optimisation programme on a 6 month contract basis. They are ideally looking for a rounded Solution Architect with good experience in network architecture or an infrastructure architect with a network background.

This large-scale programme spans the entire applications systems estate and involves multiple Design Authoring teams, both internal and partner resourced, with the role sitting within the Design team’s Assurance function.

The ideal candidate will have most of the following:

  • Background in network architecture
  • IT governance and oversight – assurance of others’ designs is particularly sought after
  • Experience in a regulated industry
  • Experience of working across multiple designs in parallel (as opposed to focussing on individual, long-running designs)
  • Proven ability to converse across multiple technical SME areas (internal and provider) and spanning a gamut of technologies and supporting areas, e.g. Virtualisation, SAN, Networking, Database, Middleware, Client, CyberSec, DevOps & Tooling, Licensing, etc.
  • Some knowledge of one or more Public Clouds

The bank has offices in Leeds, Manchester, London, Edinburgh and Cardiff, as well as others across the country. The role is flexible with location and will involve just a day a week in the office.

If this sounds of interest to you, please reply to this ad and someone will be in touch with more details.
