Role Profile

Investment Solutions (IS) Marketing is a component of our client's Global Corporate Affairs & Marketing function. Investment Solutions is one of five business segments within the Data and Analytics Division. The IS segment includes FTSE Russell, a leading global index provider.

Equity Indexes, the Strategy & Planning Marketing Manager, is aligned to the FTSE Russell business and sits within our client's Marketing & Communications organization. This organization, led by our Chief Marketing Officer, acts as a strategic partner to our client's business, powering commercial value through an insight-led approach that maximizes the impact of our investment and our relevance in the market.

The Marketing Strategy and Planning function is the critical link between Business Strategy and Product and Sales and Account Management to ensure all marketing activities directly align to FTSE Russell's business priorities.

Marketing Strategy: Be the voice of our marketplace and our customers:

  • Develop (Lead) the marketing strategy for FTSE Russell's comprehensive range of equity indexes, including the well-known Russell US Indexes, FTSE UK Indexes (including FTSE 100 and FTSE All-Share), the FTSE Global Equity Index Series (FTSE GEIS), the FTSE China Indexes (including the FTSE A50), as well as alternatively weighted indexes such as the FTSE Global Factor Index Series and the FTSE RAFI Index Series.
  • Develop an understanding of the various equity index series' construction methodologies and use cases, as well as their competitive landscape
  • Develop a deep understanding of the client base, their challenges, needs, and associated commercial opportunities
  • Define the target audience for FTSE Russell's equity indexes based on insights and analytics, proposition strategy, and specific index use case
  • Define campaign themes and thought leadership opportunities that support FTSE Russell's business priorities for equity indexes
  • Partner with stakeholders in our Product, Sales, and Research teams to ensure marketing aligns with and supports business agenda, growth priorities, and product launch process.
  • Challenge assumptions about how customers want to discover and explore our propositions, who influences buying decisions, and which marketing channels are most effective at engaging them
  • Develop the messaging and positioning of our index solutions, including crucial proof points and USPs, to develop compelling and differentiated value propositions
  • Support the creation of the Content Strategy considering the full buyer and influencer journey from Interest and Exposure to Purchase

Marketing Planning: Translate strategy into a meaningful opportunity:

  • Lead the Marketing team responsible for developing a holistic and individual customer segment marketing plan for the business. This will include marketing partners from the Activation, Regional, Digital, PR, Events, ABM, and Content Marketing teams.
  • Define the marketing objectives, including growth and retention targets and specific opportunity plans
  • Propose marketing campaigns that will retain and grow FTSE Russell's business – driving awareness, interest, leads, opportunities and sales
  • Develop Briefs for marketing campaigns including market situation, themes, key messaging including differentiators and proof points, KPIs and recommended channels to market
  • Work across all of the other Marketing and Communications functions to ensure the production of compelling campaign content and the activation of campaigns in markets globally.
  • Track and measure budgets and campaign performance against KPIs set and report back to stakeholders on progress, performance, suggestions for future initiatives.

In addition, we would expect this person to:

  • Infuse our client's brand into everything they do. Ensure brand activation integrates clearly into message strategy and architecture, product design, value proposition and personas for core customer segments.
  • KPIs: Define the expectation of how marketing will drive results. Partner closely with the Customer Insight and Analytics team to set clear standards and reporting of Marketing ROI aligned to the business. Assess performance quarterly against targets. Course correct based on learning as necessary.
  • Be a strong and effective communicator and collaborator. This person will need to be able to work across the breadth of our business and quickly understand what requirements are and how we mobilize teams to deploy marketing campaigns that deliver results.

Skills & Experience:

  • Extensive experience marketing into the financial markets community, with a particular emphasis on the Asset Management and Asset Owner segments
  • Understanding of the role that indexes play across the investment ecosystem
  • Experience in Product or Solutions marketing would be beneficial.
  • Strategic marketing experience preferable or experience having worked with business and product teams to articulate compelling value propositions to customers and prospects
  • A sound understanding of indexes and their application would be advantageous.
  • Experience working across globally dispersed teams to drive towards a common goal
  • Insight-driven, analytical approach with strong demonstrable numerical/analytical and presentation skills.
  • Good relationship management skills to satisfy a wide range of internal and external stakeholders with conflicting priorities
  • Demonstrate excellent time-management and multi-tasking abilities, and be able to meet deadlines, including internal check-ins independently.
  • Have a self-starting, entrepreneurial spirit and an international mindset that always puts the member and the client at the centre of the experience
  • Have high levels of resilience and self-motivation. The ideal candidate must show composure under pressure, be solution-orientated, and function as a collaborative partner.

    As a remote DevOps Engineer, you will join the Azure Technology team of a multi-cloud services company. You will help provide consultative, architectural, program and engineering support for our customers' journeys to the cloud.

    You will deliver technical solutions using cutting edge technologies and industry best practices to implement Azure cloud platforms for its customers.

    The responsibilities

    • Demonstrate a broad set of technical skills including Azure Infrastructure and administration (ARM templates).

    The Experience You Will Bring

    • Full CCAB / CIMA qualification with minimum of 2 years post qualification experience and evidence of continuing professional development .
    • Experience in application of financial management and financial frameworks in a large organisation, preferably public sector, through a full financial cycle.
    • Essential evidence of providing financial advice to inform complex decision making.
    • Evidence of direct influence in improving financial systems and processes.
    • Experience of evaluating and supporting innovative and effective means of financing the long term delivery of large scale services.
    • Demonstrate significant experience of working with and influencing members and / or executives, as well as, multi-disciplinary teams to achieve service outcomes.
    • Knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards.
    • Extensive experience of strong leadership skills and ability to demonstrate credibility, promoting good financial management practice within the business.
