We are looking to recruit a senior strategy lead who has an indepth knowledge and understanding of big data and analytics that will allow you to develop the medium to long term strategy of to how to provide and shape cloud based data services to meet the needs of a varied and evolving market.
To be a success in this role you will be someone with a clear understanding of the vendor capabilities in the field of Cloud Big Data and Analytics aligned with the ability to assist stakeholders to define and prioritise their requirements. This will allow you to own and lead the development of the strategy and technology roadmap for cloud database distribution and work with stakeholders, architecture, development and vendors to deliver a capability that is second to none.

    McGregor Boyall is currently recruiting for a Senior Technical Consultant for a leading organisation based in Kent on a permanent basis. Due to a large amount of growth and success within the department this position has been made available.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Manage AV supplier vendor relations. Structure, facilitate and manage global procurement agreements for products and services
    • Manage the deployment of Multimedia projects and assist in the detailing of all the areas of the business that need to be brought together under the Multimedia remit.
    • Develop the project scope and the touch points across projects identifying the required resources for each project stream.
      Deliver a high standard of service in accordance with the SLAs for the Collaboration Technology deliverables
    • Assist in the issuing of tenders and review of bid responses from Multimedia consultants and solutions providers

    Skills:

    • Extensive experience working in corporate Multimedia environment
    • Strong knowledge of audio-visual industry standards including commercial integration and commissioning
    • Experience with various operating systems (Mac/Windows)
    • Experience management of Video Conferencing, unified communications, audio/video technologies, products and services
    • Detailed System design, CAD engineering, 3D and UX design

Technical Architect

McGregor Boyall has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Cloud Architect to join a growing IT consultancy with flagship offices across the UK. They are passionate about innovation and driving the industry forward across sectors, including delivering crucial projects within healthcare, financial services and the third sector.

This role will be based from their Birmingham office and the successful candidate will work closely with clients who are looking to adopt cloud technologies, including Azure and AWS, into their complex system architecture.

This role requires someone coming from a Development background who has experience of migrating or building new applications or systems onto private and/or public cloud, ideally AWS or Azure. Experience of working using Agile principles and Continuous Integration/ Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) exposure would also work well in this position.

You will design and deliver infrastructure architecture designs with a ‘Cloud first’ mentality and will work across various project deployments concurrently. You’ll work closely with Build Engineers, Service Owners and Enterprise Architects to ensure strategic alignment and oversee projects to ensure they meet all functional requirements and service level agreements.

Experience Required:

  • Background in hands-on software development (C#, Java, Javascript etc)
  • Experience designing complex Cloud solutions (Azure or AWS)
  • Stakeholder management
  • Technical or Project Lead experience
