Technical Lead – Python, iOS, Android – London

An exciting AI start up in the media industry is looking for a Technical Lead to join their growing team. Paying up to £90k per annum you will be working remotely or from their London based office. This role will be the first technical hire reporting to the CTO and will have responsibility of building out an inhouse software development team.

The organization is currently working with a consultancy to build their app which will go live in 2021. Your role will be to contribute to day to day development while working with the consultancy partner before eventually building a team and bringing development inhouse.

  • Head of Commercial Finance Transformation

    Our client is currently in a period of growth and as such are looking for a qualified Head of Commercial Finance Transformation. This role will be the product owner for the current and upcoming projects while agreeing on the structures and definitions as well as the delivery and operating model design

    Job purpose

    • Integral to the role will be Business Partnering to senior stakeholders across the full breadth of the group driving commercial performance through the planning cycle
    • You will be responsible for driving commercial finance transformation and evolution throughout the group by leading key group commercial finance initiatives on a roadmap to modernise the commercial finance capability to a leading centre of excellence, developing their commercial frameworks to support profitable growth


    Tasks

    • Owner of Board and Exco Commercial Finance Transformation deliverables
    • Key member of commercial framework transformation project team, Leading initiatives, managing & delivering change management workstreams such as target operating model determination, development of commercial controls such as a pricing tool, project profitability reporting and closed loop utilisation model.
    • Commercial training materials group owner.
    • Chairs virtual commercial change and transformation team


    Profile

    • Ability to establish strong internal relationships across the business, particularly with key stakeholders: Budget owners, partner group & senior finance team
    • A leader with a flair for inspiring and developing others
    • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal with a focus on innovative presentation of financials to a wide audience
    • Experience of influencing stakeholders to ensure the best outcome is reached for the benefit of the organisation
    • An engaging, approachable, self-motivated and hands on individual
    • Ability to solve problems innovatively and action ideas quickly
    • Ability to define profit drivers and support the Business to improve and maximise returns
    • The ability to educate, support and challenge the commercial financials within regions and teams
    • Provide practical solutions and risk mitigation
    • Extensive pricing and commercial performance improvements
    • Ability to drive organisational change and transformation
    • Strong business acumen, must be solutions driven, customer focused, strong influencer and negotiator whilst demonstrating a flexible approach
    • Track record of successful role in transformation projects
    • Working within regional structures and collaboration with Regional FDs


    Qualifications

    • 5 years+ post qualified experience (ACA, ACCA, etc)
    • Transformation experience in a Finance environment
    • Consultancy background would be preferable but not essential

    Leading financial services client is looking for an Infrastructure Automation Engineer to join their team in London on a permanent basis.

    Key responsibilities include:

    • Manage AWS Workspace
    • Manage Windows and Linux infrastructure
    • Maintain Windows and Linux Puppet Code
    • Improve Workstation deployment and application distribution
    • Empower yourself and others with automation tools
    • Participate on a call rotation schedule

    Skills and experience required:

    • Strong scripting skills - Powershell, Puppet, Python
    • Experience supporting Windows 10
    • AWS experience with knowledge about Workspaces
    • Puppet or similar orchestration language
    • Active Directory and Exchange servers
    • Networking and troubleshooting knowledge (grep, git commands, network commands)

  • Calypso Developer - Financial Services - Perm

    Salaries vary depending on experience but a range of £60,000 - £100,000 is available.

    My client is currently seeking experienced Mid-level and Senior Calypso Developers to join their Global Capital Markets Business

    Calypso is a cloud-enabled, large-scale software product providing cross-asset solutions for trading and risk management.

    Successful candidates will be given the opportunity to work across multiple high-profile projects as part of a global practice (EMEA, North America, South Africa and APAC) on projects including Greenfield Calypso Implementations & Calypso v16 Upgrades.

    Successful candidates will have the following skills

    • Must have at least 2 years of Calypso experience
    • Must have at least 2 years of development experience in Java (Spring, Hibernate)
    • Demonstrable experience of working across the full SDLC
    • Previous Capital Markets experience (preferably cross-asset product knowledge)
    • Ability to design, develop and implement new features and modules in Calypso, as well as the ability to improve existing ones.
    • Experience working on upgrades and implementations would be advantageous, along with any exposure to Cloud Platforms such as AWS or Azure
    • Strong academic background in business, finance, engineering, mathematics, science or technology
