Our successful Test Services Group is expanding and we are recruiting three Test Analyst’s into our office in Edinburgh.

Your future duties and responsibilities
As a Test Analyst you are expected to interpret baseline specifications to produce test scripts and document associated test data then execute the tests and record results. As part of preparation and execution, you must be able to communicate issues and observations to support teams and the wider business. You will also help manage them through to closure and be able to understand and be capable of articulating testing principles based on the V Model.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role
• Ability to write and execute test scripts using industry standard tools such as HP QC/ALM.
• A solid understanding of the Test Lifecycle and ISTQB principles.
• Background of working directly with users and developers to understand requirements and address defects.
• Experience of working within a virtual delivery model including offshore and near-shore components.
• First class communication skills- both written and verbal.
• Strong time management and effective prioritisation attributes.

  • Implementation Manager
    £450 - £550 per day


    Implementation Project Manager (Software Applications / Data Migration)

    Market leading Investment Management client is looking to recruit an experienced and enthusiastic Implementation / Project Manager with a track record of successful software and data migration projects (not infrastructure please). This role will be based in Edinburgh City Centre and will be offered on an initial 6 month basis, but with a view to extend.

    What does the role entail?

    • Working with project, tech and business leads to define implementation strategy.
    • Liaising with tech delivery, operations and test teams to ensure appropriate consideration of priorities and constraints.
    • Overseeing the process from migration to live operations.
    • Managing the creation, maintenance, configuration control and storage of the migration process.


    What experience will the ideal candidate have?

    • Experience of technical/operational implementation delivery and change management.
    • Management experience e.g. will have overseen large scale IT implementations.
    • Strong data migration experience
    • Experience of platform configuration and release management
    • Experience of working with 3rd party providers

    I am ideally looking for candidates who are able to start immediately although 4 week's notice will be considered. The role will pay up to £550 per day for the correct candidate.

  • Automation Test Lead (Java/ C#) - FinTech - Permanent

    I am currently looking for an Automation Test Lead (Java/ C#) to join a top FinTech organisation based in London/ Surrey. The role will be a permanent role and will be working on a new project within the business.

    Responsiblities

    Prepare test cases corresponding to business and functional requirements

    Devise and carry out both manual and automated tests to establish the quality of the software under test

    Prepare Test Data and Test Case execution

    Log, prioritise, and track defects

    Work with the Project Manager, Test Leads and Agile Leads

    Skills Required

    Strong automation testing/ lead experience

    Ability to set up automation frameworks from scratch using Selenium and Java/ C#

    Extensive knowledge of automating, debugging and maintaining API tests using SOAP UI/Ready API

    Significant API Testing experience using Postman, Swagger and other API testing tools

    Expertise in identifying and documenting defects using JIRA

    Familiar with writing SQL queries and Shell scripting to generate test artifacts

    Location - London/ Surrey

    Role - Permanent

    Salary - £50,000 - £70,000

Overall purpose of role

As a Dashboard developer you will be working with the Global Compliance Management Reporting Team to develop online Compliance dashboards in Tableau (and/or equivalent visualisation tools) by liaising with SMEs/stakeholders to review big data and data analytics.

Key Accountabilities

  • Design, and develop dashboards in Tableau.
  • Provide Tableau user training where necessary on an ad hoc basis;
  • Liaise with SMEs/stakeholders of all corporate grades in Compliance, Technology and the wider organisation;

Decision-making and Problem Solving

  • Analyse and gain an understanding of diverse datasets eg headcount; hierarchy; business specific types of data;
  • Experience with programming languages R and Python;

Essential Skills/Basic Qualifications:

  • Possess a very good /advanced understanding of developing dashboards in Tableau with supporting statistical and maths knowledge;
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, able to work in an agile way with business colleagues who are less technically minded.

Desirable skills/Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with big data projects and data analytics
  • Knowledge on big data technologies
  • Educated to Bachelor's degree preferable
