UX Designer - Financial Services

UX Designer - Retail Banking - London

McGregor-Boyall are currently working with a Global Investment Bank to secure a UX Designer. You will be responsible for assisting in the development of creating high fidelity interactive prototypes.

Key responsibilities:

  • Design and iterate through pixel perfect interactive prototypes to meet requirements of the business for a range of product areas
  • Strong understanding of Lean UX techniques
  • Conduct user interviews, surveys and best practice studies for requirements extraction and validation
  • Work with the development team to extract drafted prototypes/ concepts into their detailed components parts as assets against JIRA user stories
  • Rapidly create assets on demand during sprint cycles when required (pixel dimensions, SVG’s, page templates)
  • Contribute the existing style guide/ pattern library

Key skills & experience:

  • Must have experience with web page application design as opposed to brochure-ware design
  • Must have excellent communication skills and ability articulate design decisions to stakeholders
  • Excellent sense of spactial awareness with good clean deign
  • Experience with widget/ component design and consideration for cross platform/ mobile responsiveness
  • Advanced knowledge of relevant interactive prototyping software such as Axure (others considered).
  • Graphical tools: Photoshop, Illustrator and other

  • Implementation Manager
    £450 - £550 per day


    Implementation Project Manager (Software Applications / Data Migration)

    Market leading Investment Management client is looking to recruit an experienced and enthusiastic Implementation / Project Manager with a track record of successful software and data migration projects (not infrastructure please). This role will be based in Edinburgh City Centre and will be offered on an initial 6 month basis, but with a view to extend.

    What does the role entail?

    • Working with project, tech and business leads to define implementation strategy.
    • Liaising with tech delivery, operations and test teams to ensure appropriate consideration of priorities and constraints.
    • Overseeing the process from migration to live operations.
    • Managing the creation, maintenance, configuration control and storage of the migration process.


    What experience will the ideal candidate have?

    • Experience of technical/operational implementation delivery and change management.
    • Management experience e.g. will have overseen large scale IT implementations.
    • Strong data migration experience
    • Experience of platform configuration and release management
    • Experience of working with 3rd party providers

    I am ideally looking for candidates who are able to start immediately although 4 week's notice will be considered. The role will pay up to £550 per day for the correct candidate.

  • Automation Test Lead (Java/ C#) - FinTech - Permanent

    I am currently looking for an Automation Test Lead (Java/ C#) to join a top FinTech organisation based in London/ Surrey. The role will be a permanent role and will be working on a new project within the business.

    Responsiblities

    Prepare test cases corresponding to business and functional requirements

    Devise and carry out both manual and automated tests to establish the quality of the software under test

    Prepare Test Data and Test Case execution

    Log, prioritise, and track defects

    Work with the Project Manager, Test Leads and Agile Leads

    Skills Required

    Strong automation testing/ lead experience

    Ability to set up automation frameworks from scratch using Selenium and Java/ C#

    Extensive knowledge of automating, debugging and maintaining API tests using SOAP UI/Ready API

    Significant API Testing experience using Postman, Swagger and other API testing tools

    Expertise in identifying and documenting defects using JIRA

    Familiar with writing SQL queries and Shell scripting to generate test artifacts

    Location - London/ Surrey

    Salary - £50,000 - £70,000

Network Security Architect

Globally recognised client with offices in Edinburgh and London requires a Network Security Architect to join a team of Infrastructure Architects who are responsible for global infrastructure design and standards. The successful candidate should have a broad technical knowledge and be able to produce designs as well as peer review in depth technical solutions.

With a strong background in Network Design/Engineering, Architecture and Security you'll be comfortable translating business requirements into infrastructure solutions with scalability, security and resilience in mind.

Of course you'll be responsible for the creation of high level and low level solution designs, road-maps and blueprints. You'll need to be a good communicator who can translate technical challenges to the lay person. And you'll have a broad experience with architectural frameworks, e.g. TOGAF / CISSP / Agile / SCRUM / Zachman / ITIL

Ideally you'll have worked on a previous integration / large-scale network transformation programme. And you'll be familiar with most of the following skils / qualifications:-
