A market leading tier one investment bank require an expert VBA developer, ideally with strong python development skills, to join their desk based Fixed Income Trading team. The team develop spreadsheet tools using Excel VBA and other new functionality using Python and OO languages (Java, C , C#), for the traders and quants on the Fixed Income trading desk.

The individual will ideally have a strong understanding of computer science fundamentals, but be well versed, or at least have a good understanding of financial products (ideally Fixed Income). As part of this front office technoilogy team you will work closely with Traders, Sales and Quants on a variety of different technical packages, including some greenfield.

The succesful VBA/Python Developer can look to recieve £45,000-£75,000 base plus package bonus

Requirements:

  • VBA/Python Developer
  • Strong SQL database skills
  • OO programming experience
  • Financial services experience (ideally understanding of derivative products)
  • Strong academics (computer science/engineering, science or maths preferable)
