Visual Designer - £500 per day - London

A leading investment bank is looking for a Visual Designer to join their team on an initial 6-month contract. Paying up to £500 per day you will be working out of their state-of-the-art Canary Wharf based offices. You will be responsible for the visual design user interfaces for web-based, hand-held, and desktop applications. You will be interested with how visual design impacts use and understanding and want to create innovative visualisation of complex information and data.

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and client management skills
  • Understanding of current industry best practices
  • Experienced with designing transactional user interfaces
  • Ability to manage client expectations and own time efficiently
  • Collaboration with product owners and business analysts to design solutions
  • Follow an iterative User-Centred Design Processes
  • Work collaboratively in cross-disciplinary design teams
  • Create Detailed Interaction and User Interface Designs
  • Create innovative visual language for User Interfaces
  • Define and create graphic systems & style guides

Desirable:

  • Strong Interaction Design Skills
  • Strong Visual Design

    I am looking to speak with skilled Front End Engineers to join an exciting Start-Up Digital Agency located in central Edinburgh.     This role is suitable for passionate Front-End engineers skilled with JavaScript/Typescript along with any of the related frameworks like AngularJS, ReactJS, VueJS or BacboneJS.

    To qualify for this role, you will have to demonstrate the following skills and experiences:

    • Demonstrable commercial experience building solutions using JavaScript or Typescript (4-5 years minimum)

    Strategic Level:

    • To be considered a key part of the Corporate Services team and the Finance “Go-to” person for performance improvement strategic matters
    • Provide strategic advice on improving financial performance and planning
    • Create & maintain a culture of high performance, planning and continuous improvement
    • Lead and manage projects ensuring project milestones are met
    • In addition to the Corporate Support functions, this role will take a perspective on overall organisational performance
    • Agree performance targets with respective Corporate Executive & Leadership, to help identify early warning signs, and where appropriate help the business rectify underperforming matters
