Permanent, up to £95,000 + benefits, bonus.
Global financial services client is looking for a Web Platform Engineer to join their team in London. The team are responsible for the design and standards of their Database, Middleware and Web Platforms.
The role is an opportunity for someone to join a global team focussing on the engineering of their web server platforms and tooling as well as potential to get involved in other areas within the team. This includes their existing Web server farm environment and their transition to container-based service offerings, including defining deployment and security standards for deployment models. The successful candidate would have a strong technical background and experience of engineering/architecting web server platforms, strong analytical skills and a keen interest in containerisation and automation.
Skills and experience required:
- In depth knowledge of web platform Servers and load-balancing technologies (ie Apache/Tomcat/TomEE, F5 BigIP/HA Proxy)
- Experience of programming with Python or Java
- Scripting with Linux/Unix Shell (eg Bash) or PowerShell
- Experience with containers/Kubernetes - desirable
- Operating system fundamentals - Linux fundamentals, Networks, CPU and Memory
- Exposure to Configuration Management Solutions (Ansible, Chef or Puppet) desirable

As a remote DevOps Engineer, you will join the Azure Technology team of a multi-cloud services company. You will help provide consultative, architectural, program and engineering support for our customers' journeys to the cloud.

The responsibilities
- Demonstrate a broad set of technical skills including Azure Infrastructure and administration (ARM templates).

The Opportunity
