We are partnered with a financial client who are looking for an experienced Solution Architect to support payments technology change across multiple financial domains.
This is a contract role based in Chester 3 days per week. 6month duration initially.
Key Responsibilities
- Define end‑to‑end solution architecture and non‑functional requirements.
- Shape high‑level designs and guide delivery teams.
- Ensure solutions align with tech strategy and standards.
- Review designs, resolve technical issues, and support continuous improvement.
Skills & Experience
- Strong expertise in Corporate Payments and major payment schemes (SEPA, FPS, CHAPS, SWIFT).
- Regulatory change experience (PSD2/3, ISO 20022, Open Banking).
- API design, microservices, integration platforms.
- Cloud experience (AWS/Azure/GCP), DevOps, CI/CD, Docker/Kubernetes.
- Knowledge of Java, .NET, Python, JS/TS.
- Excellent communication and problem‑solving skills.
- 10+ years in financial services technology.
Desired
- TOGAF, Cloud Architect, or AI certifications.
- Degree in Computer Science or similar.
