McGregor Boyall are recruiting for a Security Consultant to join our banking client based in Glasgow.
This is a contract position - 6 month contract with hybrid working available.
This position sits within our clients IT Operations function and your role will be to support a range of high-profile projects across the bank.
We welcome applications from cadidates that are available at short notice and helm from a cyber security backgroud as well as experience of working within the finance or banking sectors.

As an Information Security Consultant you will be responsible for end-to-end consultancy across multiple projects and initiatives and act as a subject matter expert for Information Security to help embed security by design.
You will be a key contact and act as point of escalation for security issues, drawing from other areas of knowledge/expertise as required, maintaining a productive working relationship between security, technology teams and the wider business.
Key Responsibilities will include (but not limited to):
• Ensuring that requirements, objectives and processes are understood and are in line with business processes.
• Ensuring security teams understand business strategies, objectives and requirements.
• Supporting the design of security solutions to ensure they support business processes & goals, are timely, cost-effective, pragmatic and in line with our client’s threat landscape.
• Ensuring that external parties, including customers and clients, understand and are satisfied with our information and cyber security approach.
• Advising the business on how to prevent recurrence of security incidents.
We would love to hear from you if you have some of the following skills, experience and qualifications:
• Currently working in a InfoSec role
• Knowledge of control and risk management processes.
• Ability to frame decisions in terms of risk and make risk judgements.
• Ability to work on multiple projects and tasks at the same time
• Able to build and maintain relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
• Recognised professional information security qualification such as Security+, CCSP, CISMP, CISA, CISSP, etc.
