About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a BIM Specialist to support the delivery of complex infrastructure projects across the energy, transportation, and utilities sectors.
This role combines BIM leadership, digital engineering, technical coordination, and project support. The successful candidate will play a key role in driving BIM best practices, supporting project teams, and helping shape the future of digital design and project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the subject matter expert for BIM methodologies within electromechanical engineering projects
- Support Project Managers and engineering teams in the planning and delivery of electromechanical systems
- Manage BIM implementation across projects, including coordination, quality assurance, and compliance with project requirements
- Develop and implement BIM use cases, workflows, standards, and best practices
- Create and maintain BIM Execution Plans (BEPs) in collaboration with clients, consultants, and project stakeholders
- Define standards for model creation, model usage, information management, and data exchange
- Coordinate multidisciplinary BIM models and ensure effective collaboration between project disciplines
- Undertake modelling activities and provide technical BIM support throughout project delivery
- Deliver BIM training and promote knowledge-sharing initiatives
- Support the development of digital tools, automation processes, and innovative BIM solutions
- Ensure BIM deliverables meet quality, programme, and project requirements
Candidate Profile
- Qualification in Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering, or a related discipline
- Experience in BIM-based design, BIM coordination, or BIM management
- Strong understanding of BIM standards, processes, and digital project delivery
- Proficiency in BIM software such as Revit, Trimble Connect, Solibri Office, Dynamo, or similar platforms
- Experience working on infrastructure, industrial, utilities, transportation, or building projects
- Strong communication, organisational, and stakeholder management skills
- Collaborative approach with the ability to work within multidisciplinary teams
- Passion for digital engineering, innovation, and continuous professional development
