Civil Engineer - Railway Infrastructure
Location: Givisiez, Switzerland | 80-100%
About the Role
Due to continued growth and an expanding portfolio of infrastructure projects, we are seeking a Civil Engineer specialising in Railway Infrastructure to join a multidisciplinary engineering team in Switzerland.
This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the design and delivery of major rail and transportation projects, supporting projects from concept development through to construction and commissioning.
Key Responsibilities
As a Civil Engineer - Railway Infrastructure, you will be involved in the planning, design, and execution of a variety of railway engineering projects.
Your responsibilities will include:
Supporting the development and delivery of railway infrastructure projects from feasibility studies through to construction
Designing and dimensioning civil engineering structures and railway-related infrastructure
Preparing technical calculations, reports, specifications, and project documentation
Assisting Project Managers with project coordination, planning, and technical delivery
Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to develop innovative and practical engineering solutions
Participating in site visits, inspections, and construction support activities where required
Ensuring compliance with applicable standards, regulations, and client requirements
As your experience develops, you will have the opportunity to take ownership of projects and progress into a Project Management role.

Candidate Profile
Degree in Civil Engineering (BSc, MSc, EPF, HES, or equivalent)
Graduate Engineer or experienced professional with a background in railway infrastructure or civil engineering projects
Experience in railway construction, transportation infrastructure, or related sectors is highly desirable
Strong analytical and structured approach to problem-solving
Excellent technical writing and reporting skills
Strong sense of responsibility and commitment to delivering high-quality work
Effective communication and stakeholder management skills
Service-oriented mindset with the ability to build positive working relationships
Ability to work both independently and within multidisciplinary project teams
