Compliance IT Product Owner

Overview
We are seeking a Product Owner to lead the delivery of Communication Surveillance and Mobile Capture technology solutions within a Compliance Technology function. This role plays a key part in ensuring systems meet regulatory expectations for Record Keeping and Market Abuse prevention.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the product vision, strategy, roadmap, and KPIs for surveillance platforms (e.g., TeleMessage, Global Relay).

• Define and prioritise deliverables in alignment with business and stakeholder needs.

• Lead Agile delivery, including backlog management and sprint planning.

• Design and maintain Communication Surveillance controls.

• Oversee routine testing to ensure accurate communication capture.

• Govern and monitor business communication channels.

• Act as the day-to-day liaison between Compliance and Technology teams, managing issues, risks, and vendor support.

Essential Experience & Skills

• Strong leadership and delivery focus in dynamic environments.

• Expertise in Data Governance and Agile delivery.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

• Familiarity with tools such as Teams Chat, WhatsApp for Business, Bloomberg, BT Turrets, Cloud 9, Mobile Voice.

• Solid understanding of regulatory requirements for communication surveillance.

Desirable

• Experience with AI/ML in compliance contexts.

• Background in financial services project management.
