The Role
Opportunity to join a growing specialist bank within their mortgages and lending division, taking ownership of data, MI and operational insight across the business.
This is a hands-on role combining technical delivery, stakeholder engagement and team leadership. You'll act as the go-to for all reporting and analytics, working closely with senior stakeholders to translate data into clear, actionable insight that drives operational performance and decision-making.
The role sits at the intersection of data, operations and lending, with a focus on improving visibility across pipeline, capacity, customer outcomes and overall business performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and deliver all MI, reporting and operational analytics across the lending division
- Design and develop dashboards using Tableau, Power BI and SQL
- Translate complex data into clear insight for senior stakeholders (MD, Sales, Credit, Operations)
- Lead and develop a junior analyst, setting standards and supporting growth
- Drive data quality, consistency and governance across operational systems
- Identify inefficiencies and lead data-driven process improvements
- Support operational change and transformation initiatives with robust data and insight
- Act as the subject matter expert for data, reporting and operational performance
Key Requirements
- Strong experience in MI, BI or data analytics roles within financial services (essential)
- Advanced Tableau and SQL skills (essential)
- Experience building dashboards and owning reporting end-to-end
- Proven ability to engage senior stakeholders and influence decision-making
- Experience working with operational or lending-related data (e.g. mortgages, loans, pipeline)
- Prior experience mentoring or managing analysts (or ready to step into this)
- Strong commercial mindset with a focus on using data to drive change
- Ideal for a Senior Analyst looking to step into a management role, or an existing Manager seeking a hands-on position
