Seeking a Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) specialist to join a very successful organisation for a 12-month contract in a global role based in London. The role will have responsibility for developing and executing the strategic plan for advancing DEI globally and engaging employees in cultural moments and community-building experiences globally, regionally and locally.

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with the global leadership team, business and HR leaders to develop and promote an integrated DEI strategy, with accountability for the execution and results, such as increased representation across all levels of organization.
  • Design a continuous listening strategy with a framework for touchpoints throughout the employee journey to identify gaps and opportunities for DEI initiatives.
  • Understand needs and wants of our employees and provide input and influence on engagement and DEI strategy and company initiatives to drive belonging for all.
  • Generate deep data-driven analyses to determine specific metrics by location, performance, potential etc., to influence business strategy and partner with local leadership to achieve a diverse workforce aligned with our diversity goals.
  • Partner with business leaders and HR to develop diversity and inclusion strategies, programs, and metrics that successfully attract, retain, and advance a diverse workforce, fostering inclusion and sense of belonging across the organization.
  • Engage with eternal networks and partnerships to support our DE&I initiatives
  • Keep abreast of key industry trends, research and recommended DEI best practices and initiatives.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 10 years of DEI experience in complex global organisations, preferably Financial Services.
  • Highly effective collaboration skills that enable influence at all levels, from C-suite to frontline management, without direct accountability over resources.
  • Proven track record for establishing and evolving the behaviours and practices inherent of an inclusive organisation.
  • Deep level of aptitude in using critical thinking to balance data-driven insights against diversity and inclusion trends to make positive and grounded decisions
  • Deep understanding of and passion for the DEI discipline and capacity to display innovative thought-leadership in the space.
  • Effective and active listening skills to take in stakeholders' ideas, feedback and varying requirements.
  • Strong ability to flex own style to be both strategic and hands-on when required. Ability to influence with direct and indirect accountability.
