System Manager

We are partnering with a leading logistics company to recruit a System Manager responsible for the reliability, performance, and continuous improvement of its core technology systems and environments. The role oversees the entire application landscape-from production through to development-and manages both internally hosted and SaaS platforms. A key focus is maintaining secure, stable systems and providing clear reporting on their health, risks, and value to the business.

This role is offered on a permanent basis and requires 5 days on site.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage all system environments (production, test, staging, development, training) and ensure they remain consistent and well maintained.

• Safeguard data integrity, version alignment, and controlled change across the landscape.

• Coordinate environment refreshes, setup, and decommissioning with internal teams and external vendors.

• Monitor system performance, availability, capacity, and error patterns across all platforms.

• Deliver regular health reports and dashboards to technology and business stakeholders.

• Define and maintain KPIs that measure system stability and service performance.

• Ensure testing environments are available, correctly configured, and appropriately isolated for development, QA, UAT, and project activities.

• Manage refresh schedules, test data quality, and environment performance to minimise test delays and defects.

• Collaborate with delivery teams to resolve environment issues and coordinate cross-system testing cycles.
