Financial services business is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to join their Platform Engineering team within Customer Banking Services on a contract basis.

A key function of this team is supporting technology platforms, using a mixture of in-house and industry-leading products, while contributing to the fulfilling the business's objective of becoming a digital bank.

The role will involve:

• Being a trusted technical authority and specialist for Openshift.
• Being responsible for the on-premise Openshift platform resolving day to day support issues & provide pro-active maintenance of the platform.
• Provide guidance to the Platform Engineering Team SRE function on incident resolution relating to the Openshift Platform
• Collaborating with technical teams & project teams to support the migration of services to Azure Red hat OpenShift (ARO)

To be successful in the role you will have most of the following:

• Extensive hands-on experience in supporting and maintaining OpenShift 3.11 platforms at enterprise scale.
• Solid sys admin/engineering experience in Linux (preferably Red Hat Enterprise Linux)
• Experience with docker containers & orchestration
• A developer mindset and scripting skills to match in languages such as Python, Java or JavaScript, Bash
• Experience of Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery tooling

The contract is 6 months and based in Glasgow but they will consider fully remote for the right candidate.
