Onboarding Specialist
Location: Bishopsgate, London (Hybrid)
Rate: £185 per day (Inside IR35 via Umbrella)
Contract: 10 Months initially (Highly Likely to Extend)
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Onboarding Specialist to join a leading global organisation and play a vital role in creating an outstanding onboarding experience for new employees. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with onboarding, HR administration, or staffing operations experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
As an Onboarding Specialist, you will manage the end-to-end onboarding process, ensuring all new hires receive a seamless experience from offer acceptance through to their first week. You will work closely with hiring teams, candidates, and third-party vendors to ensure onboarding activities are completed accurately and on time.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the onboarding process from offer stage through to successful onboarding
- Generate and administer employment offers accurately and efficiently
- Coordinate and monitor background checks through third-party providers
- Manage identity verification processes and onboarding documentation
- Maintain accurate employee and onboarding data within HR systems
- Support new hires throughout the onboarding journey, ensuring timely completion of all requirements
- Coordinate onboarding communications, Welcome Day activities, and required documentation
- Identify onboarding issues early and provide effective resolutions
- Collaborate with stakeholders to improve onboarding processes and operational efficiency
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and service standards
- Provide administrative support across a range of HR and staffing operations activities
Requirements:
- Previous experience in onboarding, HR administration, recruitment support, or staffing operations
- Experience managing offer generation and onboarding activities
- Strong organisational skills with exceptional attention to detail
- Ability to handle high volumes of work and manage multiple priorities
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities
- High levels of integrity and confidentiality
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office or Google Workspace
Desirable:
- Experience managing background checks and employment screening
- Knowledge of Workday, ServiceNow, SmartRecruiters, and DocuSign
